DigitalOcean Partners with Bright Data to Launch New Tools
DigitalOcean and Bright Data announced a partnership at The Open Intelligence Summit that brings Bright Data's tools and datasets to DigitalOcean Managed Agents, available now through Action Gateway. Agents on DigitalOcean can now search the live web, access sites that present technical challenges to automated traffic, extract structured data, and act on pre-collected, dynamically refreshed datasets without a separate Bright Data account or API key.
DigitalOcean Launches Agent Droplets to Simplify Adoption of Agent Technologies
DigitalOcean Holdings announced Agent Droplets giving companies a simple way to start their agentic journey on DigitalOcean and scale with predictable spending controls. DigitalOcean Managed Agents, launched in public preview on September 22, gave builders a managed runtime, governed access to 16,000+ tools, Serverless Inference, and persistent agent memory and storage on one cloud. Agent Droplets bundle those capabilities into a single monthly subscription simplifying adoption of emerging agent technologies without the guesswork of assembling a stack. Agent Droplets come in two sizes, Pro at $50 a month and Team at $200 a month, with discounts of 15% and 20%, respectively, across all included resources.
Cloudways Launches New Managed Hosting Service Velocity
Cloudways announced the general availability of Velocity, a new managed Node.js hosting offering. Velocity combines infrastructure simplicity with VPS-like control and predictable economics in order to help teams move applications into production with reduced server administration. The launch extends the Cloudways managed hosting experience beyond WordPress and into modern application workloads, giving both new and existing customers a simpler and faster way from code to production. Developers and builders currently have to choose between serverless platforms that can become restrictive, unpredictable at scale and costly with raw VPS infrastructure that requires more operational work for managing the VPS and workload performance. Velocity sits between those two models; Node.js applications can now be deployed through Git, while Cloudways manages infrastructure tasks including server maintenance, patching, SSL and backups.
DigitalOcean Q2 Revenue $281M, Exceeds Expectations
Reports Q2 revenue $281M, consensus $278.82M. "Our growth rate is accelerating, as revenue grew 29% year-over-year, more than double our growth rate a year ago," said Paddy Srinivasan, CEO of DigitalOcean. "The acceleration is coming from our highest spending customers and sophisticated AI Natives, and we are now beginning to land nine-figure annual commitments. Early Inference Engine customers drove their total token consumption up approximately 30x in the last 60-days, and 85% of our AI customer ARR now comes from inference and core cloud rather than bare metal. Just as important is how we are growing: attractive margins, positive free cash flow, capacity delivered on or ahead of schedule, and a stronger balance sheet. Our customer momentum and early product traction give us confidence to raise our 2026 revenue outlook to approximately 30%, reaching 35% or more by Q4 2026, and strengthen our conviction in our ability to exceed 50% growth in 2027."
