CONMED Reports Q2 Revenue of $343.5M, Exceeds Expectations
Reports Q2 rervenue $343.5M, consensus $337.54M. "We delivered a strong second quarter, with organic constant currency net sales growth and adjusted diluted EPS that exceeded our stated expectations," said Patrick J. Beyer, CONMED's President and Chief Executive Officer. "Our net sales performance on an organic constant currency basis reflected year-over-year growth across both our Orthopedic Surgery and General Surgery product lines, as our team continued to advance our key growth platforms: AirSeal, Buffalo Filter, and BioBrace. In tandem, we made meaningful progress on several strategic priorities during the quarter, including: completing the strategic exits of our gastroenterology product offerings in keeping with our portfolio optimization strategy, refinancing a portion of our debt, and further strengthening our leadership with key appointments to our Board and executive team."
CONMED Expands AirSeal Robotic Solution Indication
CONMED Corporation announced that its AirSeal Robotic Solution is now indicated for use with Intuitive's 8 mm hex cannulas used as part of the Intuitive da Vinci 5 platform. Alongside its existing indication for Intuitive 8 mm round cannulas, the AirSeal Robotic Solution now has an expanded indication for use across Intuitive's portfolio of da Vinci X, da Vinci Xi, and da Vinci 5 robotic systems. "We are pleased to secure and announce this expanded indication for use, which was supported by extensive engineering and technical compatibility testing conducted by CONMED in collaboration with Intuitive," said Patrick Beyer, CONMED's President and Chief Executive Officer. "These efforts reflect our commitment to ensuring surgeons and hospitals are supported with the requisite compatibility data and clear product communication, while ultimately empowering them to achieve quality care for patients."

JPMorgan Maintains Neutral Rating on Conmed with $40 Price Target
JPMorgan notes that Bloomberg reported last Friday that Conmed was considering selling the company after receiving interest from private equity firms. While "hopeful" that Conmed is on an upwards trajectory after "a tough run the last few years," the firm contends that the company's fundamentals "likely make it less attractive" to a strategic buyer. However, the company's free cash flow yield and "clean financials" are likely to make it "look highly attractive to financial acquirers" and it could fit into a broader portfolio of orthopedic products, added the analyst, who has a Neutral rating and $40 price target on Conmed shares.
