ChargePoint Deploys EV Charging at Portland International Airport
ChargePoint announced an EV charging deployment at Portland International Airport, PDX. The installation features an overhead charging system with retractable cable management. "Airports aren't just adopting electric mobility; they're reshaping it," said Rick Wilmer, CEO of ChargePoint. "As rental fleet operators add electric vehicles to their fleets, airports face the challenge of delivering reliable, high-power charging infrastructure at scale. The Port of Portland's investment at PDX demonstrates how fast charging can integrate into existing parking lots without sacrifices for equipment placement."
ChargePoint Extends Partnership with Mercedes-Benz
ChargePoint (CHPT) announced an extended partnership with Mercedes-Benz (MBGYY) to deliver comprehensive charging solutions for fleet operators in the UK and Germany. The partnership provides Mercedes-Benz business customers with a fully integrated charging solution, from initial site planning through to installation, operation and ongoing service. The partnership covers charging for company car drivers, with support for passenger cars as well as light- and medium-duty vans. Under the agreement, Mercedes-Benz fleet and workplace customers gain access to ChargePoint's team for site assessment, infrastructure planning, professional installation and ongoing support. ChargePoint's AC and DC charging hardware, combined with smart energy management and fleet charging software, ensures efficient operations and maximum system reliability.
