The Cheesecake Factory Projects 2027 Revenue of Approximately $4.425 Billion
President David Gordon states: "Before I turn to our 2027 outlook, I want to acknowledge that while we are very encouraged by The Cheesecake Factory's recent sales inflection, it is early, and we believe it is prudent to remain measured in our outlook. As a result, our underlying sales growth and margin assumptions for 2027 are more closely aligned with our historical algorithm objectives. As we continue to gain greater visibility into these trends, we will update our expectations accordingly. With that in mind, I will now turn to our initial fiscal 2027 outlook, which reflects what we know today. First, with regard to development, as David mentioned, we plan to further increase development next year. At this time, we expect to open as many as 27 new restaurants in 2027, with roughly three-quarters of those openings planned for the second half of the year. Next, based on our estimates for net operating week growth, we are targeting total revenue of approximately $4.425 billion for fiscal 2027. We currently estimate total inflation across our commodity basket, labor, and other operating expenses to be in the low to mid single-digit range, and relatively consistent across the quarters. We expect some modest leverage from G&A depreciation and pre-opening expenses of approximately 10 to 20 basis points in total compared to 2026. Based on these assumptions, we would expect full-year net income margin of 6.0 to 6.1 percent at the sales estimate provided." Comments taken from Q3 earnings conference call.
