Texas Capital Appoints Mo Jamous as Chief Digital Officer
Texas Capital Bancshares (TCBI) announced the appointment of Mo Jamous as managing director, chief digital and information officer, effective immediately. In this role, Jamous will lead the firm's technology strategy and organization, including infrastructure, enterprise architecture, application development, data platforms, artificial intelligence enablement and information security. Jamous will report to Rob Holmes, chairman, president and CEO of Texas Capital, and serve as a member of the firm's operating council. Jamous joins Texas Capital from U.S. Bank (USB), where he most recently served as the chief information officer for consumer, business banking and AI/ML technologies.
Texas Capital Forms Strategic Relationship with Phoenix Merchant Partners
Texas Capital Bancshares' wholly owned subsidiary Texas Capital Alternative Asset Management and Phoenix Merchant Partners, an independent alternative asset manager, announced a strategic relationship to provide customized capital solutions and direct lending to the core middle market across a diverse range of industries. The strategic relationship integrates the corporate and investment banking coverage network of Texas Capital with the structuring, disciplined underwriting, and multi-cycle portfolio management expertise of Phoenix. Phoenix will launch its first vehicle, Spurstone Credit, in Q3. Structured as a perpetual-life, non-traded closed-end credit fund, Spurstone will be headquartered in Dallas, Texas. The vehicle's investment mandate will focus primarily on delivering senior secured financing solutions to core middle-market businesses with annual revenues between $100M and $1B that are currently underserved in private credit.
Texas Capital Appoints New Executive Leadership Team
Texas Capital announced a series of strategic executive leadership appointments. The transitions reflect Texas Capital's mission of becoming a full-service financial services firm. As part of these changes, Texas Capital announced the appointment of Jeff Hood as Managing Director, Chief Human Resources Officer, or CHRO, effective May 4. Hood joins Texas Capital from Citizens Financial Group with more than 25 years of leadership experience across human resources and financial services. He will serve as a member of the firm's Operating Council. As part of this broader leadership alignment, Texas Capital announced the following changes, effective immediately: John Cummings has been named COO. Jay Clingman will transition to serve as Head Private Banking and Family Office. Dustin Cosper will assume the role Head of Commercial Banking. Matt Scurlock, Texas Capital's CFO, will also assume the role of President of Texas Capital Bank. Daniel Hoverman remains President of TCBI Securities, doing business as Texas Capital Securities.
