Labcorp Launches FDA-Cleared Elecsys pTau-217 Test
Labcorp (LH) announced it will offer the Elecsys pTau-217 test following clearance by the U.S. FDA. Developed by Roche Diagnostics (RHHBY), the blood test aids in identifying amyloid pathology associated with Alzheimer's disease in individuals 55 and older with signs, symptoms or complaints of cognitive decline. Elecsys pTau-217 is the first and only FDA-cleared single-biomarker blood test to both rule in and rule out amyloid pathology across specialty and primary care settings.
Labcorp Launches Roche's PTEN Test Nationwide
Labcorp (LH) announced the nationwide availability of Roche's (RHHBY) VENTANA PTEN (SP218) RxDx Assay, the first immunohistochemistry companion diagnostic test approved by the U.S. FDA to determine PTEN protein loss, also known as PTEN deficiency, in tumors of patients with prostate adenocarcinoma. The assay helps identify patients who may be eligible for treatment with AstraZeneca's TRUQAP in combination with abiraterone acetate and prednisone.

Labcorp Launches Genetic Health Panel Analyzing 163 Genes
Labcorp announced the launch of Marker by Labcorp Genetic Health Panel, a new offering designed to help consumers better understand inherited risks associated with more than 100 medically actionable health conditions. Available through Labcorp OnDemand, the panel analyzes 163 genes associated with hereditary cancer, cardiovascular conditions and metabolic conditions and includes access to licensed genetic counselors to help consumers understand their results and discuss appropriate next steps. The Marker by Labcorp Genetic Health Panel is backed by Labcorp's established expertise in clinical genetic testing through Labcorp Genetics and its Invitae genetic testing capabilities.
Labcorp Awarded $364.7M Contract
Labcorp was awarded $364.7M for a single-award, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract utilizing firm-fixed-price task orders to provide the Defense Health Agency with commercial clinical reference laboratory testing services across both the continental United States and outside the continental United States. This competitive, non-personal services contract will support military beneficiaries worldwide by processing vital diagnostic laboratory tests that military medical treatment facilities currently lack the capability or capacity to execute in-house. This strategic sourcing initiative was competitively solicited under solicitation number HT001526RE001, which was posted to SAM.gov on May 12 and closed on June 1. The contract features a five-year base period followed by a five-year option period, establishing a worldwide performance location with an ultimate completion date of July 9, 2036. No fiscal 2026 operations and maintenance funds are being obligated at time of award. The Defense Health Agency is the contracting activity.
