Aeluma appoints Christopher Stewart as CFO
Aeluma (ALMU) announced the appointment of Christopher Stewart as its new CFO. Stewart will be responsible for leading the company's finance organization and driving operational excellence through the commercialization of Aeluma's robust technology portfolio.Most recently, he served as CFO at LeddarTech Holdings (LDTC).
LeddarTech shares will be suspended, delisted from Nasdaq
LeddarTech announces that on June 17, the company received a determination letter from Nasdaq notifying the company that Nasdaq has determined that the company's securities will be suspended from trading at the opening of business on June 24 and delisted from Nasdaq. LeddarTech currently does not intend to file an appeal of the determination.
LeddarTech to file for bankruptcy in Canada, expects Nasdaq delisting
LeddarTech announced that it intends on making an assignment into bankruptcy pursuant to the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act. After careful consideration of all available alternatives, including undertaking a strategic review which was unsuccessful in identifying a suitable acquirer or commercial partner or raising sufficient capital, as well as further to the company having received a notice of default under its bridge financing offer entered into with certain bridge lenders, the board of directors of the company has determined that it was in the best interest of the Company and its stakeholders to make an assignment into bankruptcy under the BIA as soon as reasonably practicable. The company expects that Raymond Chabot, a licensed insolvency trustee, will be appointed as the trustee under the BIA proceedings. In connection with the BIA proceedings, each member of the board of directors of the company will resign effective upon the assignment under the BIA. The company does not expect to resume active operations and cautions investors that there is significant risk that holders of our securities will receive little to no value under the BIA proceedings. Further announcements regarding the status of the company's BIA proceedings will be made as developments warrant. The company expects that its common shares and warrants trading on the Nasdaq will be halted as a result of the BIA proceedings. The company anticipates that it will ultimately be delisted from the Nasdaq.
LeddarTech lays off most employees, no longer calling back furloughed
LeddarTech announces that, as a result of the cessation of the Company's discussions with a significant potential commercial counterpart and in light of the Company's current financial position, the Company has laid off most of its employees and will no longer be calling back any employees that were previously furloughed. The board of directors of the Company is continuing its previously announced review of alternatives that may be available to the Company. These alternatives include, but are not limited to, a sale of the business or certain of its assets, an orderly dissolution, restructuring activities, a potential assignment into bankruptcy, or other insolvency proceedings under applicable legislation. There can be no assurance that the review process will result in any transaction or alternative, or that the Company will be able to avoid an assignment into bankruptcy or other insolvency protection proceedings. Pending the outcome of this process, LeddarTech does not expect to resume active operations and cautions investors that there is significant risk that holders of our securities will receive little to no value in any bankruptcy and insolvency process. Further announcements regarding the status of the Company's process will be made as developments warrant. Trading of the Company's common shares and warrants on the Nasdaq may be halted as a result of filing under insolvency or bankruptcy laws.
LeddarTech announces return to work of certain employees following furlough
LeddarTech announced a return to work, beginning on June 4th, of certain employees that had been affected by the previously announced workforce reduction. The employees that have resumed their functions are supporting various ongoing commercial activities. LeddarTech plans to progressively call back more of its employees that were furloughed in order to support such commercial activities. There can be no assurance as to the timing of such decision nor that such additional employees will be called back in the near term or at all.
