FTAI Aviation Signs Multi-Year Maintenance Agreement with United Airlines
FTAI Aviation (FTAI) announced a multi-year Maintenance, Repair and Exchange agreement with United Airlines (UAL), one of the world's largest CFM56-7B operators, under which FTAI is providing engine exchanges in lieu of traditional shop visits. The companies' exchange relationship began with United's V2500-powered fleet and has been extended to designated CFM56-7B engines with the program structured to grow over its term. Under the MRE program, FTAI delivers a serviceable engine ahead of each of United's scheduled removals and then purchases United's unserviceable engine in exchange, sparing the airline the cost and downtime of a traditional shop visit.
FTAI Aviation Acquires 27 Boeing 737-700 Aircraft
FTAI Aviation (FTAI) announced the acquisition of 27 Boeing (BA) 737-700 aircraft from WestJet. The acquisition marks one of FTAI's largest aircraft transactions to date. Under the transaction, FTAI's 2026 SPV, the second investment vehicle of the Company's Strategic Capital business, acquired 17 Boeing 737-700 aircraft on lease to WestJet in a sale-leaseback, and FTAI acquired 10 off-lease Boeing 737-700 aircraft to support its Aerospace Products business.
Garuda Indonesia and FTAI Strengthen Strategic Collaboration
PT Garuda Maintenance Facility Aero Asia, part of Garuda Indonesia Group, and FTAI Aviation have strengthened their strategic collaboration to build a long-term partnership focused on expanding GMF's Engine and APU maintenance capacity and capabilities, while strengthening its market presence across Asia-Pacific. The collaboration will initially cover CFM56-5B and CFM56-7B engines and GTCP131-9 series APUs, with guaranteed capacity for FTAI over the next five years. The strategic collaboration was formalized during MRO Asia-Pacific 2026 at Singapore EXPO, Singapore. Building on an existing relationship in which GMF provides engine maintenance services for FTAI, the strategic partnership provides a foundation to progressively expand into deeper module and piece-part capabilities and next-generation engines, including CFM LEAP.

FTAI Aviation Approves $500M Share Repurchase Program
FTAI Aviation announced that the board of directors of the company authorized and approved a new share repurchase program under which the company may repurchase up to $500M of its outstanding ordinary shares. The share repurchase program will end on the earlier of the date of completion of the repurchases and September 30, 2029. The company expects to fund repurchases under the share repurchase program using cash on its balance sheet.
