Encompass Health Expands Rehabilitation Hospital in Richmond, Texas

Encompass Health plans to expand inpatient rehabilitation capacity in Fort Bend County through a new project in Richmond, Texas. The hospital will be the company's second small-format inpatient rehabilitation hospital announced and the second serving the greater Houston area, with another small-format project in Conroe. The 24-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Richmond is expected to open in 2028. The hospital will serve patients recovering from major illnesses and injuries, including stroke and other neurological conditions, brain and spinal cord injuries, amputations and complex orthopedic conditions.

We expect to open five additional hospitals and add more than 100 beds to existing facilities before year end, further increasing access to high-quality inpatient rehabilitation care. Our value proposition and disciplined operating strategy continue to be validated, and we remain highly optimistic about the long-term prospects of our business."
