C.H. Robinson Launches New AI Agents to Enhance Freight Efficiency
C.H. Robinson has launched new AI agents that perform work in ocean shipping, air freight and customs brokerage. They represent an expansion of the company's Lean AI capabilities into freight forwarding, for the benefit of more customers, and into work so complex that a single shipping task can require over a dozen AI agents working in tandem. Continuing to disrupt itself and the industry, the company's new tech brings substantial speed-to-market gains, precision and agility to customers' supply chains without sacrificing human oversight or personal attention. The new tech includes: Price-quoting for ocean and air cargo: AI has determined and delivered over 80,000 price quotes for over 3,600 customers. Quotes that used to take a day for an air shipment and two to three days for an ocean shipment now take two to three minutes. Ocean booking: AI has begun to manage the thousands of booking requests C.H. Robinson receives every week. Customs: AI helps with the dozens of documents and highly detailed processes required for an international shipment to clear U.S. Customs - work that has only gotten more labor-intensive with new trade agreements, layers of new tariffs, and stricter compliance rules.
C.H. Robinson Appoints Valerie Capers Workman as Chief Human Resources Officer
C.H. Robinson Worldwide announced the appointment of Valerie Capers Workman as Chief Human Resources Officer, effective November 16. Workman will succeed Angie Freeman, Chief Human Resources & ESG Officer, following her planned retirement at the end of this year. Workman joins C.H. Robinson as the company continues to advance its Lean AI strategy, accelerate innovation and build the capabilities needed to lead the future of global logistics. She will play a key role in aligning talent, culture and organizational capabilities with the company's long-term strategy, helping translate technological advancement into sustained business performance. Workman brings more than two decades of executive leadership experience across complex global organizations, including Tesla, where she served as VP and Head of Human Resources, and most recently Empower Pharmacy, where she serves as CHRO.
BofA Lowers C.H. Robinson Price Target to $203
BofA lowered the firm's price target on C.H. Robinson (CHRW) to $203 from $226 and keeps a Buy rating on the shares after the company announced it is acquiring RXO Inc. (RXO) in a cash and stock deal valued at approximately $5.8B. The firm's lower target accounts for equity dilution in the expected deal, but it believes Robinson's productivity track record sets "a credible path" to narrowing RXO's productivity gap and exceeding its $300M synergy target, the analyst tells investors.
