Plaid Considers IPO with $8 Billion Valuation

Plaid secured an $8B valuation in a funding round earlier this year, Bloomberg News reported.Minted is exploring a sale that could value the stationery, art and home decor design platform at around $1B after receiving inbound interest, according to sources familiar with the matter, Reuters' Abigail Summerville, Milana Vinn and Sabrina Valle. The company, which is backed by investment firm Permira, has been working with JPMorgan on the process, the sources said, requesting anonymity to discuss a private matter. Publicly-traded companies operating in the same space include CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, and Palo Alto Networks.Patronus AI– The company announced a $50M Series B led by Greenfield Partners and unveiled its Digital World Models, a new class of large-scale simulation environments designed to help AI systems train, evaluate, and improve across complex digital workflows. The round included participation from existing investors Notable Capital, Lightspeed Venture Partners, Datadog, Samsung, Factorial Capital, Gokul Rajaram, and leading AI and software executives. JP Morgan, Jefferies, Leerink Partners, and TD Cowen are acting as the underwriters for the offering.Inspire Brands– The company announced that it has confidentially submitted a draft registration statement on Form S-1 with the Securities and Exchange Commission relating to the proposed initial public offering of its common stock. Inspire Brands expects to use the net proceeds of the proposed offering to repay outstanding indebtedness under its existing term loan facility and pay offering fees and expenses.Tarsier Pharma Ltd.– The company filed for an initial public offering of its ordinary shares. The prospectus stated, "Tarsier Pharma is developing TRS01 and TRS02, novel product candidates based on dazdotuftide, a new molecule with a new mechanism of action for uveitis and uveitic glaucoma. We are attempting to address a significant, underserved market opportunity and have engaged closely with the FDA on our clinical development strategy, including a Special Protocol Assessment agreement for our planned pivotal trial... Nvidia Invests $2B in Synopsys, Analyst Reiterates Outperform Rating
Mizuho analyst Siti Panigrahi reiterated an Outperform rating and $600 price target on Synopsys (SNPS) after the company and Nvidia (NVDA) announced an expanded partnership, under which Nvidia would invest $2B in Synopsys. The firm said the investment implies attractive risk/reward in Synopsys shares and further reinforces the positive thesis in the firm's initiation report, where it views electronic design automation tools as a critical enabler of the AI revolutions. The firm added that it also views the investment as a strategic positive, enabling Synopsys and Ansys (ANSS) to deliver more impactful products leveraging Nvidia CUDA acceleration and physical AI expertise that should drive total addressable market expansion.
Synopsys Receives Approval to Finalize Sale of Optical Solutions Group and PowerArtist
Synopsys (SNPS) announced that it has received approval from all necessary authorities to proceed with the planned, previously-announced divestitures of the Optical Solutions Group and PowerArtist businesses to Keysight Technologies (KEYS). These divestitures were determined by regulatory authorities to be a necessary step related to Synopsys' acquisition of Ansys (ANSS), which successfully closed on July 17. Synopsys expects to complete these divestitures on or about October 17. The transactions are not material to Synopsys' financials, and terms of the agreements were not disclosed. Synopsys remains committed to a seamless transition for its employees, customers and partners.
Ansys to offer directl access to Nvidia Omniverse technology
Ansys (ANSS), part of Synopsys (SNPS), and Nvidia (NVDA), signed an agreement to license, sell, and support Omniverse technology embedded in Ansys simulation solutions. Through its integration of Nvidia Omniverse, Ansys will deliver access to Omniverse technologies and libraries to customers, starting with its CFD and autonomous solutions. Ansys technology utilizes Universal Scene Description to integrate with Omniverse technologies, enabling accessible workflows across diverse simulation applications. The agreement ensures interoperability between diverse computer-aided engineering tools.
Thomson Reuters to join Nasdaq-100 Index on July 28
Nasdaq announced that Thomson Reuters (TRI), will become a component of the Nasdaq-100 Index and the Nasdaq-100 Equal Weighted Index prior to market open on Monday, July 28, 2025. Thomson Reuters Corp will replace ANSYS (ANSS) in the Nasdaq-100 Index and the Nasdaq-100 Equal Weighted Index.
