Amprius Technologies, Inc. develops, manufactures, and markets lithium-ion batteries for mobility applications, including the aviation, electric vehicle (EV) and light electric vehicle industries. Its batteries are primarily used for existing and emerging aviation applications, including unmanned aerial systems (UAS), such as drones and high-altitude pseudo satellites (HAPS). It offers high-performance silicon anode batteries under its silicon anode platform to supply the aviation, ground and marine vehicle industries. Its SiCore batteries are based on a proprietary silicon anode material system delivering high-energy-density silicon anode batteries. The silicon anode cell chemistry in our SiCore batteries is designed to offer high energy density, up to 450 Wh/kg, and a long cycle life, as long as 1,400 cycles. It is also engaged in developing an EV capable cell. Its proprietary SiMaxx silicon anode technologies solve the inherent limitations of silicon anodes in lithium-ion cells.
Amprius Technologies Inc is a good buy right now due to its recent record revenue of $34 million for Q2 2026, a 19% increase from Q1, and a raised full-year revenue forecast to at least $140 million. The stock is currently priced at $9.44, significantly below the analyst price target of $30, suggesting a substantial upside potential. However, the forward P/E ratio is quite high at 161.29, indicating that the stock might be overvalued if growth does not materialize as expected.

$AMPX Amprius Technologies granted $75M from DoW for battery production Amprius Technologies has been awarded a grant of up to $75M from the U.S. Department of War to retrofit an existing domestic production line from EV batteries to high-energy density cells for unmanned aerial systems. The grant was awarded through the DoW's Industrial Base Analysis and Sustainment program, which funds domestic manufacturing capabilities critical to national defense. The primary objective of this award is to establish high-volume, commercially viable U.S. manufacturing for advanced battery systems that power unmanned aerial systems - Group 1, 2, and 3 drones. Amprius plans to use the funds to reconfigure an existing U.S.-based electric vehicle battery production line operated by a major South Korean manufacturer. At completion, planned for early 2028, the line is expected to have the capacity to produce 12 million Amprius cells annually. These cells are intended to meet the domestic sourcing requirements of the National Defense Authorization Act. The conversion project is expected to cost approximately $100M, including in-kind investments from Amprius and its South Korean partner. The modified line expands Amprius' existing contract manufacturing relationships and significantly increases the ability of the company to provide NDAA-compliant pouch cells for key customers at scale. This project adds to the company's global manufacturing network in China, South Korea, and the United States.
