Veon Raises FY26 EBITDA Outlook to 9%-12% Growth
Raises FY26 EBITDA view to up 9%-12% from up 7%-10%. The company said, "Veon intends to purchase and cancel a minimum of USD 100 million of repurchased shares and ADSs on an annual basis which will comprise of a mix of shares and ADSs purchased in the open market and, on a pari-passu basis, shares from our major shareholders."

Reports Q2 EBITDA $552M. The company said, "Veon delivered another quarter of strong, broad-based growth and we are raising our full-year outlook. We are fuelled by our telecom foundation which powers one self-reinforcing flywheel to win us wallet share across every high-growth market we serve. We are also introducing three digital pillars - Financial Services, Digital Life and Digital Enterprise - as a lens through which to view the digital business. As customers adopt more of our digital services, they generate more revenue, stay with us longer and drive stronger cash generation for the group. Digital revenue is growing rapidly and now represents 26.9% of our revenues, up from 20.5% a year ago."
Veon and Mastercard Collaborate to Enhance Financial Services
Veon (VEON) and Mastercard (MA) collaborate to accelerate the development of inclusive, intelligent and accessible financial services across Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Pakistan and Uzbekistan. The collaboration is designed to bring together VEON's local digital platforms, customer reach, data-driven capabilities and emerging VEON Digital Finance strategy with Mastercard's global payments network, technology and financial services expertise. Together, the organizations intend to explore the development of a generation of financial services, including AI-powered credit scoring, embedded finance and digital wallets, subject to applicable regulatory requirements. The solutions will also provide merchant services, loyalty and remittances for consumers, small businesses and enterprises across VEON's markets.The collaboration is expected to begin with pilots in Ukraine and Kazakhstan with potential expansion across VEON's other markets. Through Mastercard's global network, the companies also intend to explore opportunities to reach people in markets where VEON does not yet operate.
Veon Commits $250M Investment in Bangladesh
Veon committed an initial $250M investment over the coming years, forming part of a new initiative aimed at attracting a total of $1B in foreign direct investment to Bangladesh. Augie Fabela II, chairman and founder of the board of Veon, met with the Prime Minister of Bangladesh, Tarique Rahman, yesterday at the Prime Minister's Office in Dhaka.
