Peraso Completes High-Speed Wireless Connectivity Validation
Peraso announced the completion of a functional validation demonstrating high-speed wireless connectivity between a humanoid robot and an edge AI server using Peraso's mmWave technology. The demonstration achieved sustained data rates of approximately 500 Mbps uplink from the robot to the edge server and 100 Mbps downlink, enabling continuous transfer of sensor, video, telemetry, and operational data. Peraso's beamforming technology is also designed to support multiple robots operating in close proximity by reducing interference between wireless links. The company has previously demonstrated aggregate data rates of 50 Gbps in a confined area. The demonstration used a hybrid computing architecture that combines a local NVIDIA GPU with a remote GPU cluster. The local GPU handles reflexes and other time-critical actions that require extremely low latency, while the remote cluster provides the additional computing power needed to run more complex models that would be too costly to run locally. As AI-powered humanoid robots move toward broader deployment, their effectiveness depends on their ability to continuously collect and process large quantities of real-world sensor data and use that information to improve AI models. Peraso believes traditional wireless technologies may struggle to provide the combination of bandwidth, and interference resilience needed to support continuous AI model training and real-time decision-making in dense environments.
Peraso Secures Over $2 Million Production Order
Peraso announced that it has received a production order valued in excess of $2.0 million from a leading network equipment manufacturer for deployment of fixed wireless access systems utilizing Peraso's 60 GHz technology. Shipments under the order are scheduled to begin in the fourth quarter of 2026 and continue through July 2027. The order represents the largest production order for Peraso's 60 GHz solutions in the last six quarters. Peraso believes the order reflects the increasing market acceptance of 60 GHz technology as service providers, municipalities, enterprises, and network operators seek cost-effective alternatives to fiber deployment for delivering multi-gigabit broadband connectivity.
QuickLogic Appoints James Sullivan as New CFO
QuickLogic (QUIK) announced the appointment of James Sullivan as its new Senior Vice President of Finance and CFO, effective October 5. Sullivan replaces Elias Nader, who has resigned effective as of the close of business September 18 to pursue other opportunities. Sullivan most recently served as CFO for Peraso (PRSO) a publicly traded semiconductor company pioneering high-performance mmWave wireless technology, offering chipsets, modules, software and IP.
Peraso Launches New Wireless Communication Module PRM2145
Peraso announced the introduction of the "PRM2145," a new wireless communications module specifically designed to address the requirements of unmanned aerial vehicles, autonomous systems, and defense communications applications. The launch of the PRM2145 marks an important expansion of Peraso's product portfolio in the rapidly growing defense and UAV communications markets. Unlike conventional communications solutions operating in congested lower-frequency spectrum bands, the PRM2145 leverages Peraso's proven 60 GHz mmWave technology platform to provide secure, low-latency, gigabit-class communications in a lightweight, compact module for airborne platforms with strict size, weight, and power constraints. To support mission-critical deployments, the PRM2145 is intended to enable robust command-and-control links, high-definition video transmission, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance data transport, identification friend or foe communications, and drone-to-drone communications, while providing enhanced resistance to interference and electronic jamming.
