U.S. Stock Futures Mixed as Investors Brace for Earnings Season

Stock futures are mixed this morning as investors brace for a pivotal stretch of earnings and the start of the Federal Reserve's two-day policy meeting, with renewed concerns over artificial intelligence spending and rising competition from Chinese chipmakers weighing heavily on technology shares.The semiconductor sector remains under intense pressure after a broad selloff spread across Asia overnight. South Korea's KOSPI plunged nearly 10%, triggering market-wide circuit breakers, as shares of SK Hynixand Samsung Electronicstumbled on concerns about memory chip pricing, AI infrastructure spending and increased competition from Chinese rivals. Hilton Reports Q2 Revenue of $3.34B

Reports Q2 revenue $3.34B, consensus $3.32B. Q2 system-wide comparable RevPAR increased 3.9%, on a currency neutral basis, vs. the same period in 2025. CEO Christopher Nassetta said, "We delivered strong top and bottom-line results for Q2, driven by the continuation of strengthening demand trends and broad-based momentum across our system, which we expect to continue for the remainder of the year and into 2027. Our disciplined development strategy continues to drive strong results, with openings and approvals both increasing 50% sequentially from Q1 and our pipeline ending the quarter at a record level. We remain confident in our ability to deliver net unit growth of 6.0% to 7.0% in 2026 and beyond."
