Gilat Satellite Signs $28M Agreement with Pronatel
Gilat Satellite announced that its Peruvian subsidiary, Gilat Peru, has signed a $28M agreement with Pronatel, Peru's national telecommunications program, to upgrade broadband connectivity across the Ica region. The project's construction is expected to be completed by mid-year 2027 followed by a seven-year operational phase. The Ica project marks the fifth region in Peru to receive a broadband network upgrade since 2025. The upgraded network will deliver internet speeds 20 times faster than those currently available to 116 public institutions across the Ica region and provide free Wi-Fi access in 30 public squares. The upgrade will strengthen the network's capacity to meet the connectivity needs of institutions across different locations and operating environments and support their ability to access and deliver essential digital services, including education, healthcare, and public safety.
Gilat Satellite Secures Over $32M Order
Gilat Satellite announced that Gilat DataPath received an order valued at more than $32M from the U.S. Department of War for DKET Systems that operate across Ku, Ka and X-band networks, with deliveries expected over the next 12 months. The award represents an expansion of Gilat DataPath's long-standing DKET activity and strengthens Gilat Defense's position in larger and more complex U.S. mission-critical communications programs. Designed for rapid transport and deployment at alternate locations, the DKET platforms help customers maintain continuity of operations and restore high-capacity communications in dynamic operational environments.
Gilat Satellite Networks Secures $100 Million Commitment from Israeli Investors for Convertible Notes
Gilat Satellite Networks announced that it has received and accepted commitments from Israeli institutional investors to participate in a private placement of convertible notes issued by the Company. Subject to the terms and conditions of the Notes, the Notes will be convertible into ordinary shares, par value NIS 0.20 per share, of the Company. The gross proceeds from the sale of the Notes are expected to be approximately $100 million, before deducting fees and estimated offering expenses. Gilat intends to use the net proceeds for general corporate purposes, with a particular focus on accelerating investments in next-generation satellite and space technologies, supporting initiatives and the continued expansion of its multi-orbit, mobility, ground and defense technology capabilities. The conversion price will be $16.00 per Ordinary Share, representing a conversion premium of approximately 60% above the last reported sale price of $9.94 per Ordinary Share on the Nasdaq Global Select Market on August 28, 2026.
