Vattenfall and Fluence Energy have signed an agreement for the delivery of the planned battery storage facility in Brunsbuttel, as well as long-term service support. With an output of 254 MW and a storage capacity of over 1,000 MWh, the Brunsbuttel project, which is planned to be built at the site of the nuclear power plant that is currently being decommissioned, is expected to be among the largest battery energy storage projects in Germany and represents Vattenfall's largest battery project to date. The project is scheduled to become operational by the end of 2028. The four-hour storage facility will utilize Fluence's Gridstack Pro 5000 platform.

Meanwhile, calls to slow AI advancement could impact the sector that has supported global stocks, credit issuance, and commodities. These matters, in addition to trade, are expected to be leading focal points in the highly anticipated meeting between U.S. and Chinese Presidents Trump and Xi.Get caught up quickly on the top news and calls moving stocks with these five Top Five lists.1. Stocks Drop as Treasury Yields Rebound
Stocks swung lower on Friday as Treasury yields rebounded and rekindled concerns of a deteriorating macroeconomic backdrop. The yield on the 10-year Treasury note rebounded above the 5% threshold as persistent uncertainty over Middle Eastern oil supply drove fuel and natural gas prices to rise. The prolonged threat of energy inflation has already impacted underlying consumer prices, driving the Fed to hike rates this week, while most FOMC members see the need for another hike.Get caught up quickly on the top news and calls moving stocks with these five Top Five lists.1. Stocks Rebound as Oil Prices Ease
Stocks recovered some of their recent losses on Thursday as oil and fuel prices eased. Crude oil fell toward $100 a barrel, following about 3% drop in the previous session, reflecting easing concerns over supply disruptions after Saudi Arabia indicated it could restore around half of the damaged East-West pipeline's capacity within days and full operations within six weeks.Get caught up quickly on the top news and calls moving stocks with these five Top Five lists.1.
