Reports Q2 revenue $491.87M, consensus $455.12M. "Encore's performance in the second quarter affirmed our industry leadership through record U.S. portfolio purchasing and record global collections in addition to meaningfully improving the funding of our global business through a billion-dollar refinancing at attractive terms," said Ashish Masih, President and Chief Executive Officer. "Second quarter global portfolio purchases were $444 million and global collections were $737 million. This collections performance helped drive GAAP net income in the second quarter of $64 million or $2.81 per share, which includes refinancing costs of $1.00 per share."
Company Raises FY26 Collections Guidance to $2.8B
"As a result of our strong start to the year, we are raising our global collections guidance and now expect our FY26 collections to be approximately $2.8B, reflecting year-over-year growth of 8%. Additionally, we are raising our earnings guidance and now expect our earnings per share in 2026 to increase 19% to $13.00. Our guidance for portfolio purchasing remains unchanged from our view in February as we continue to anticipate our global portfolio purchases this year to be within a range from $1.4B to $1.5B. As always, we remain committed to the critical role we play in the consumer credit ecosystem and to helping consumers restore their financial health," said CEO Ashish Masih.

"Encore delivered another quarter of strong performance in Q1 as our industry leadership and operational improvement remain on full display," said Ashish Masih, CEO. "Our business continues to thrive with solid first quarter portfolio purchases of $363M and record collections of $718M, which were up 19% compared to a year ago. This collections performance helped earnings increase sharply, with first quarter earnings per share of $3.86 up 100% compared to $1.93 per share a year ago."
Encore Expects 10% EPS Growth to $12.00 in 2026
"Looking ahead, guided by our three pillar strategy and encouraged by our business momentum early in 2026, we remain committed to our long-standing financial objectives and our capital allocation priorities. We anticipate our global portfolio purchases in 2026 to be within a range from $1.4 billion to $1.5 billion. We expect global collections in 2026 to increase by 5% to $2.7 billion. In total, we believe Encore will deliver another strong year of financial performance in 2026 and expect our earnings per share to increase 10% to $12.00. We also remain committed to the critical role we play in the consumer credit ecosystem and to helping consumers restore their financial health," said Masih.

"Encore's industry leadership and operational innovation are on full display after delivering very strong 2025 financial results," said Ashish Masih, Encore's President and Chief Executive Officer. "With our largest business, MCM in the U.S., leading the way, we grew portfolio purchases and collections to record levels and increased average receivable portfolios by 12% compared to 2024, all while we strengthened our balance sheet by reducing our leverage. This performance led to $257 million of net income for the year, or earnings per share of $10.91."
