One Rock Capital Sells EnviroServe to Clean Harbors for $470M
One Rock Capital Partners entered into a definitive agreement to sell EnviroServe and its related affiliates to Clean Harbors for $470M. The transaction is expected to close in the second half of 2026, subject to regulatory approval and other customary conditions. EnviroServe is a provider of environmental and waste management services, with an extensive service offering spanning remediation, rail services, industrial cleaning and emergency response, as well as hazardous and non-hazardous waste transportation and processing. The Company serves customers across a wide variety of end markets from a strategic network of branches, including 10-day transfer facilities, waste solidification facilities and railcar cleaning locations.
Clean Harbors Acquires EnviroServe for $470M
Clean Harbors announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire EnviroServe, from an affiliate of One Rock Capital Partners, for $470M in cash. The acquisition is expected to close in the second half of 2026, subject to regulatory approval and other customary closing conditions. "EnviroServe is an ideal acquisition for us given its national footprint, permitted locations and recurring revenue," said Eric Gerstenberg, Co-Chief Executive Officer of Clean Harbors. "The addition of EnviroServe's strategically located, 10-day transfer facilities further strengthen our Technical Services business and support increased throughput across our disposal and recycling portfolio. We envision meaningful cross-selling opportunities as their customers will now have direct access to our industry-leading network and broad suite of environmental and industrial services. At the same time, EnviroServe's emergency response assets and rail cleaning facilities will enhance our Field Services business."
Clean Harbors Appoints Robert Willett as Chairman of the Board
Clean Harbors announced that it has named Robert Willett as Chairman of the Board, effective immediately, completing the Board transition first announced in May when Founder and Executive Chairman Alan McKim communicated his intention to retire from the Board.

Clean Harbors announced that its Founder and Executive Chairman, Alan McKim, has informed the Board of Directors of his intention to retire from the Board and his role as Chief Technology Officer upon the Board appointing a new Chair. The Board expects to appoint an independent Chair later this summer as part of a planned leadership transition.
