Abacus Global Management Partners with Retirable to Expand Retirement Planning Services
Abacus Global Management announced a partnership with Retirable, an SEC-registered retirement planning platform built for everyday Americans, to connect Abacus clients with personalized retirement planning. Once a client's policy decision is complete, Abacus and its insurance affiliates will introduce them to Retirable's licensed fiduciary advisors through dedicated channels. Abacus will also integrate its AI-powered lifespan modeling technology, Abacus LifeARC, into the Retirable platform, marking an expansion into new client channels.
Abacus Global Closes $400M Insurance Securitization Deal
Abacus Global Management announced the closing of a dual-tranche securitization collateralized by a diversified portfolio of life insurance policies. The total structure is valued at over $400M including the Class A and Class B notes and the residual interest. The notes have received an investment-grade rating from a third-party rating agency. The offering was oversubscribed and was upsized in response to investor demand. Abacus expects to use the net proceeds from the transaction to support continued policy origination and fund general corporate purposes. More fundamentally, this transaction advances the growth of the Company's asset management business. In the transaction, a special-purchase vehicle issued investment-grade notes backed by a pool of policies, which the Company continues to service through its affiliates. The securitization expands assets under management and advances the Company's shift towards a larger share of revenue from recurring, fee-related earnings rather than transactional gains. Abacus's integrated origination, underwriting, and servicing platform is what allows the Company to connect these assets with institutional capital markets.
Abacus Global Founders Terminate Trading Plans
Abacus Global founders Sean McNealy, Matthew Ganovsky, and Scott Kirby have elected to terminate their previously established Rule 10b5-1 trading plans. The plans were originally established to provide a measured opportunity for personal liquidity and diversification for the three founders, none of whom had sold a significant amount of shares in the open market since the company became publicly traded. Each founder independently determined that maintaining his current ownership position and alignment with shareholders outweighed the diversification objectives for which the plans were established. Even had the plans been completed, each founder would have remained among the company's largest individual shareholders. While the founders are transitioning from their day-to-day operational responsibilities as part of the company's planned evolution, they remain invested in Abacus's future through their substantial equity ownership.

Abacus Global Management Files Motion to Amend Defamation Complaint
Abacus Global Management has filed a Motion for Leave to File a Second Amended Complaint in its ongoing defamation lawsuit against defendants Coventry First and Alan Buerger, who co-founded Coventry and serves as its Executive Chairman. The company said, "The proposed filing details Coventry and Buerger's rampant use of false and misleading statements and includes a claim for defamation per se which carries punitive damages. Coventry's potential liability for the conduct described in the complaint may exceed 100 million dollars...The proposed amended complaint catalogs nearly 20 distinct false and misleading statements about Abacus, its business model, and its use of third-party life expectancy data, repeated during public appearances and in direct appeals to media sources by Coventry and Buerger. The complaint alleges four counts: defamation, defamation by implication, violation of Florida's Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act, and defamation per se; the Court already denied Coventry and Buerger's motion to dismiss the first three claims on June 25, 2026. The complaint adds Coventry and Buerger's recent selective and misleading use of discovery materials in an August 4, 2026 press release. If granted, the proposed amended complaint will show that Coventry's and Buerger's recent public attacks are their latest publication of previously discredited statements-filed weeks after a federal court denied Coventry's motion to dismiss and allowed the case to proceed to depositions. Abacus's proposed second amended complaint details the dozens of false and misleading statements made by Coventry and Mr. Buerger."
