Absci Plans to Initiate ABS-201 Clinical Trial in 2027
Absci announced additional details for the company's planned global, multi-center Phase 2 Storyline clinical trial evaluating ABS-201, an investigational anti-prolactin receptor antibody engineered with Absci's generative AI platform, for endometriosis. The planned Phase 2, double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled trial would assess efficacy and safety in participants. Efficacy endpoints would include reductions in dysmenorrhea and non-menstrual pelvic pain as reported via patient-reported measures. For this trial, Absci anticipates recruiting approximately 150 patients from approximately 10 or more countries, subject to protocol finalization and regulatory clearance. With the safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetic data being generated for ABS-201 in the company's ongoing Headline trial, Absci anticipates initiation of this Phase 2 clinical trial for endometriosis in mid-2027. Absci is designing Storyline as a dose-ranging trial, anticipating testing two or three dose levels that will be confirmed following review of Headline data.

Futures are marginally higher in the opening hours of the evening session with S&P e-minis and NASDAQ 100 contracts, both up by about a decimal. The AI trade has been in a bit of a stasis, with the Technology sector once again eclipsed by the relative safety of Utilities and Energy on Tuesday - the top-performing sectors in the benchmark. Before that report however, investors will have a chance to react to a key macro input - monthly CPI inflation data due out Wednesday morning. Recall that core annualized CPI for June reported last month at 2.6% was a three-month low, that month was also marked by a sharp retreat of the geopolitical premium in the oil markets, which had then reversed course in July as US-Iran tensions reignited.Check out this evening's top movers from around Wall Street, compiled by The Fly.HIGHER AFTER EARNINGS -H&R Blockup 16.2%CoreWeaveup 13.8%CAVA Groupup 12.7%Super Micro Computerup 6.4%Lumentumup 1.1%DOWN AFTER EARNINGS -United States Antimonydown 11.4%Abscidown 10.8%ALSO LOWER -Savers Value Villagedown 13.1% after equity offering
Absci Reports Q2 Revenue of $318,000, Below Consensus
Reports Q2 revenue $318,000, consensus $931,670. "The positive Phase 1 interim data from our HEADLINE trial, combined with our strengthened balance sheet and advancing platform, position us well for what comes next," said Sean McClain, Founder and CEO. "We are fast approaching defining moments for Absci, with interim proof-of-concept data for pattern hair loss later this year and our full 26-week readout in early 2027. These results have the potential to demonstrate ABS-201's regenerative mechanism and change the treatment paradigm for the millions of people living with pattern hair loss. And this is just the beginning for our prolactin receptor franchise within our overall proprietary pipeline, with endometriosis expansion ahead."
