Sensata Technologies Launches Electric Brake Force Sensors

Sensata Technologies announced its brake force sensors are now enabling electromechanical braking, EMB, systems in leading electric vehicles. "This milestone marks a significant step in the transition from traditional hydraulic braking to fully electric, brake-by-wire systems, as vehicle OEMs increasingly adopt architectures designed for electrification, autonomy, and software-defined control," the company said.

Sensata Technologies Launches OmniNode Platform

Sensata Technologies introduced its OmniNode. The OmniNode consolidates multiple high-voltage functions into a single platform to help reduce engineering complexity, accelerate validation and support scalable electrification programs. "Commercial vehicle manufacturers are under pressure to scale electrification programs while managing increasing system complexity," said Brian Wilkie, Executive Vice President and President of Aerospace, Defense and Commercial Equipment at Sensata Technologies. "With the OmniNode, we are delivering an integrated, off-the-shelf approach that helps engineers simplify power distribution architecture, accelerate development timelines and bring greater consistency and efficiency to vehicle platform design."

Sensata Technologies Launches R290 Pressure + Temperature Sensor

Sensata Technologies announced the launch of its R290 Pressure + Temperature Sensor, designed to support automotive manufacturers adopting R290 refrigerant in electrified vehicle thermal management systems. As OEMs evaluate low-GWP and PFAS-free refrigerant strategies, R290 is gaining interest for its efficiency and environmental benefits while introducing new requirements for accurate sensing, leakage control and safe system operation.
