Solaris Energy Invests in Deployable Energy to Collaborate on Microreactor Technology
Solaris Energy has made an equity investment in Deployable Energy and intends to collaborate with Deployable Energy on the commercialization of its deployable microreactor technology. The relationship combines Deployable Energy's mission to deliver transportable, resilient nuclear power with Solaris' experience deploying, operating, and maintaining distributed energy infrastructure for mission-critical applications. The companies see opportunities to explore how advanced nuclear energy technologies can complement existing power solutions.

Reports Q2 revenue $219M, consensus $207.12M. "We are executing, expanding our contracted scope and continuing to build Solaris into a proven power and infrastructure business well positioned to serve our customers," said Bill Zartler, Chairman and Co-Chief Executive Officer. "Our accomplishments and activities this quarter, from expanding the scope of our turnkey power plants and bringing GESA's service and aftermarket capabilities in-house, to taking an early equity position in a small modular reactor technology company, reflect our strategy to grow our offerings and capabilities to deliver valuable solutions to our customers."
Nasdaq Composite Rises 1.3% as Tech Stocks Rebound
A broad-based rebound in the Tech space continued for the second consecutive session, helping Nasdaq Composite once again outperform the other indices on Thursday with a 1.3% gain. The Tech sector also paced the 0.8% rally in the S&P 500, with the cyclical Consumer Discretionary and Basic Materials also performing strongly. Consumer Staples and Energy were the two worst-performing sectors in the S&P 500 even though the geopolitical climate and the standoff in the Middle East remain very fluid. Treasury yields came in by 3-4 basis points across the maturities, offering some relief especially on the longer end of the curve.In the opening hour of the evening session, S&P E-minis and NASDAQ 100 contracts are trading flat. In commodities, WTI crude oil is back below $72 per barrel while precious metals are a little changed.Delta Airlines, the next S&P 500 component to report results after Pepsi'sdisappointing numbers this morning, is on deck for Friday morning. Solaris Energy to Replace Catalyst Pharmaceuticals in S&P SmallCap 600
Solaris Energy Infrastructure (SEI) will replace Catalyst Pharmaceuticals (CPRX) in the S&P SmallCap 600 effective prior to the opening of trading on Wednesday, July 15. Angelini Pharma S.p.A. is acquiring Catalyst Pharmaceuticals in a deal expected to close soon, pending final closing conditions.
Solaris Energy Acquires Global Energy Services Alliance
Solaris Energy Infrastructure announced the acquisition of Global Energy Services Alliance, a full cycle power generation service provider. GESA was formed via the combination of Baseload Power, a U.S.-based provider of power generation aftermarket solutions, and Pro-Per Energy Services, a global provider of power plant installation, and operations and maintenance services. The company said, "Transaction Highlights and Strategy: Strengthens and Scales In-House End-to-End Power Capabilities. Expands the Company's offerings to deliver full cycle power solutions, including front-end plant installation and commissioning services through long-term operations and life-of-asset repair and maintenance required to support a growing global generation asset base. Deepens and Expands Technical Talent Bench. Baseload and Pro-Per bring decades of power operations, maintenance, installation and commissioning, and repair expertise across a broad spectrum of installed generator and turbine classes, including aeroderivative, industrial, heavy-duty, hydroelectric, and steam. This expanded technical bench strengthens Solaris' ability to deliver full turnkey power solutions at scale, meeting the Company's growing customer demand and positioning it to serve additional third-party customers across the expanding global power industry. Introduces New Growth End Markets. Baseload's U.S.-based aftermarket and installation and commissioning services combined with Pro-Per's international O&M experience expands Solaris' capabilities to provide a full scope of domestic and international third-party power generation services for power generation at all sizes, including grid connected, co-located across-the-meter, and behind-the-meter power installations. Strengthens Financial Profile. The acquisition is expected to be accretive to earnings and free cash flow per share and was funded through approximately $55M of cash consideration and the issuance of approximately three million Class A Solaris shares."
