KeyBanc Says SpaceX Spectrum Acquisition Positive for Tower Operators

After SpaceX (SPCX) announced plans to acquire up to 14MHz of paired nationwide spectrum in the 800MHz band to be utilized by its upcoming Starlink Mobile service, KeyBanc analyst Brandon Nispel called this news a positive for the tower operators as it "appears SpaceX terrestrial plans are shifting from Femtocells to terrestrial Tower deployments." Given SpaceX's previous AWS-4 acquisition and now this, it seems possible SpaceX could take over DISH leases, which the firm "did not think was plausible previously," the analyst added.

Forum Markets Forms AI Infrastructure Company with Edge Node

Forum Markets (FRMM) announced its first major investment in artificial intelligence infrastructure with the formation of Forum Edge AI LLC, a Delaware limited liability company on October 2, 2026, a joint venture with Edge Node, a Texas corporation, to own and operate high-performance inference compute capacity at sites that already have power and permits in place. Edge Node AI is an AI infrastructure company and approved Nvidia partner building a distributed AI inference network designed for companies and assets that depend on constant, real-time graphics processing unit access. Forum holds majority ownership of and controls the Joint Venture, which has an initial portfolio consisting of 2MW of a 4 MW data center in Dallas, a 9 MW data center campus in High Point, N.C., and one initial mobile communications tower site of 1-2 MW with the ability to scale under separate agreements with SBA Communications (SBAC) and Tillman Infrastructure. The company expects to contract additional sites with other communications tower owners moving forward.
