Raytheon Awarded Contract Modification, Ceiling Increased to $3 Billion
RTX was awarded a contract modification under a previously awarded an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract. This modification provides for a non-competitive, two-year extension and increases the contract ceiling from $2.61B to $3B. The current contract was the result of a sole-source acquisition. Under this contract extension, Raytheon will continue operations and sustainment support for the Army Navy/Transportable Radar Surveillance and Control Model 2 radar systems, utilizing a combination of cost-plus-incentive-fee, cost-plus-fixed-fee, and firm-fixed-price contract line items. Associated task order extensions reflecting the increase are also being awarded. The work will be performed in Woburn, Massachusetts, and at multiple radar sites inside and outside of the continental U.S. The contract modification will extend the current ordering period an additional two years from Oct. 31, 2026, to Oct. 31, 2028. Fiscal 2027 operations and maintenance, research, development, test and evaluation, and procurement funds totaling $112.31M will be obligated at the time of award via task order modification. The Missile Defense Agency is the contracting activity.
U.S. 10-Year Treasury Yield Falls to Near One-Month Lows
The yield on the U.S. 10-year Treasury note fell on Tuesday, hovering near one-month lows, following weaker housing data while investors also continued to assess persistent inflationary pressures ahead of the Fed's interest rate decision next week. Housing starts fell 5.2% in September, while pending home sales dropped to a record low, reflecting the continued strain of elevated mortgage rates on housing demand. The Fed is widely expected to leave interest rates unchanged next week, while markets anticipate a 25 basis point rate hike in December. Meanwhile, crude oil prices moved lower and stocks turned higher following an unconfirmed report from Qatari newspaper Al-Araby Al-Jadeed that Qatar and Pakistan presented a mediation proposal to address the demands of the U.S. and Iran.Get caught up quickly on the top news and calls moving stocks with these five Top Five lists.1. Apple Downgraded to Hold with Price Target Cut to $330
Stock futures are lower as renewed weakness in AI-related stocks looks set to erase some of Monday's rebound. Investors remain concerned about the debt and financing costs underpinning the AI infrastructure buildout. Meanwhile, oil prices are climbing, with Brent crude near $111 a barrel and West Texas Intermediate around $100.55, as escalating Middle East tensions and reports of attacks on vessels in the Gulf raise concerns about supply disruptions. Higher energy prices are adding to inflation worries following hotter-than-expected September CPI and PPI readings, while the 10-year Treasury yield is holding near 5.14%. The combination of elevated oil prices and borrowing costs continues to challenge equity valuations, particularly for growth stocks that rely on future earnings to justify current prices. In pre-market trading, S&P 500 futures fell 0.13%, Nasdaq futures fell 0.41% and Dow futures were about flat.Check out this morning's top movers from around Wall Street, compiled by The Fly.HIGHER -Alvotechup 8% after announcing that the FDA has approved a new manufacturing process for Simlandi, the company's biosimilar to HumiraUP AFTER EARNINGS -Equifaxup 6%Halliburtonup 4%RTXup 2%MSCIup 2%3Mup 1%Northrop Grummanup 1%KeyCorpup 1%DOWN AFTER EARNINGS -Genuine Partsdown 9%General Motorsdown 6%Mueller Industriesdown 4%GE Aerospacedown 3%Synchronydown 2%Hasbrodown 1%LOWER -Appledown 1% after Loop Capital downgraded the stock to Hold with a price target of $330, down from $370
