Nano Nuclear Energy Signs MOU with Hyundai Engineering

Nano Nuclear Energy announced that it has signed a memorandum of understanding, or MOU, with Hyundai Engineering to establish a framework for potential collaboration to advance the Kronos MMR Energy System project at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and to evaluate broader cooperation on future Nano Nuclear manufacturing and deployment activities. The MOU brings together Nano Nuclear's advanced reactor development program with HEC's engineering, procurement, construction, project-management, supply-chain, modularization, logistics and industrial-project capabilities. The parties initially intend to focus on project-execution planning, conventional and site-related work, procurement readiness, constructability, modularization, logistics, supply-chain development and U.S. localization planning for the U. of I. project, while preserving clear interfaces with the U. of I., existing expected contractors and applicable public-procurement requirements.

Nano Nuclear Energy Signs Engineering Services Agreement with IMPSA

Nano Nuclear Energy announced that it has entered into an Engineering Services Master Agreement, or ESMA, with the U.S. subsidiary of IMPSA, one of Argentina's engineering and heavy-manufacturing companies, to support the engineering, design-for-manufacture and potential future fabrication of critical components for Nano Nuclear's Kronos MMR Energy System. The three-year agreement establishes a framework for Nano Nuclear to utilize IMPSA's extensive experience in nuclear pressure vessels, ASME Section III manufacturing, welding, non-destructive examination, quality assurance and heavy-component fabrication as the Kronos MMR design progresses toward manufacturing readiness. The reactor pressure vessel is specifically identified as a principal reactor-component under evaluation by IMPSA. The parties have separately identified reactor cavity cooling systems, spent-fuel storage systems and additional reactor and transportation components as additional areas of potential collaboration.

Nano Nuclear Advances KRONOS MMR Project Review

Nano Nuclear Energy announced continued progress in the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission's review of the Construction Permit Application for deployment of Nano Nuclear's KRONOS MMR Energy System at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Following the submission of the application by the university on March 31, formal acceptance of the application for review by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission on May 18, and the initiation of formal review activities on June 23, the university and Nano Nuclear have since been engaging with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission as part of its detailed audit and technical review process for several months. The current audit activities are expected to continue over the near-term, with the university and Nano Nuclear seeing opportunity for completion of this phase in the coming months. The Nuclear Regulatory Commission's current public project schedule targets completion of a draft Environmental Assessment and draft Safety Evaluation in February 2027 with a final Environmental Assessment in May 2027, followed by issuance of the final Safety Evaluation in September 2027. These milestones remain consistent with Nano Nuclear's previously disclosed expectation for initial construction activities for the KRONOS MMR project at the university to commence during the second half of 2027.
