Consensus Raises FY26 Revenue Outlook to $1.02B-$1.06B
Consensus 68c. Raises FY26 revenue view to $1.02B-$1.06B from $890M-$970M, consensus $975.18M. Raises FY26 adjusted EBITDA view to $195M-$207M from $180M-$195M. Raises FY26 capital expenditures view to $85M-$95M from $80M-$90M. The company said, "For the second half of 2026 our outlook for demand for regenerated and virgin sulfuric acid remains positive. We expect strong demand for regenerated acid to support alkylate production and lower customer downtime, compared to the second half of 2025. However, and consistent with our previous guidance, we expect lower sales of virgin sulfuric acid in the third and fourth quarters, compared to 2025, primarily reflecting lower expected spot sales opportunities. We remain cautious about the potential for softer demand in some industrial applications for virgin sulfuric acid. In light of the acquisition of the Calabrian sulfur dioxide and related derivatives business on June 30, 2026, we are revising our consolidated full-year 2026 guidance to reflect our expectations for Calabrian's contributions in the third and fourth quarters of 2026."
Ecovyst Reports Q2 Revenue of $250M
Reports Q2 revenue $250M, consensus $236.85M. "In the second quarter of 2026 Ecovyst continued to deliver on its financial and long-term strategic objectives. As anticipated, high refinery utilization and positive alkylate economics contributed to increased volume of regenerated sulfuric acid, while virgin sulfuric acid volume increased double digits, reflecting positive demand fundamentals and the contribution from the Waggaman sulfuric acid plant we acquired in May 2025. As a result, we delivered second quarter 2026 Adjusted EBITDA of $53 million, within our guidance range, and up 27% compared to the year ago quarter," said Kurt J. Bitting, Ecovyst's Chief Executive Officer.

Bitting, Ecovyst's CEO.
Ecovyst Acquires Calabrian Sulfur Business for $190M
Ecovyst announced that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire the Calabrian sulfur dioxide and related sulfur derivatives business from Ineos Enterprises for a purchase price of $190M, subject to certain customary adjustments. Through its manufacturing facilities in Port Neches, Texas and Timmins, Ontario, Canada, Calabrian is a producer of sulfur dioxide and related sulfur derivatives in North America, serving end uses including mining, water treatment and specialty chemical production. The transaction is targeted to close by the end of second quarter of 2026, subject to satisfaction of customary closing conditions. "The Calabrian acquisition aligns with our strategy to deliver shareholder value by leveraging our sulfur chemistry expertise, while also diversifying our portfolio and further expanding our presence in key end use segments such as mining," said Kurt Bitting, Ecovyst's CEO. "Ecovyst is already an established producer of sodium bisulfite, and Calabrian's sulfur dioxide and other sulfur derivative product offerings share meaningful end-use, customer, and sulfur-chemistry overlap with Ecovyst, positioning us to integrate Calabrian's product portfolio onto a familiar commercial and operational footprint. Similar to our existing businesses, Calabrian has a highly experienced and engaged management team, and a diverse base of long-standing, blue-chip customers, with a high degree of recurring sales under significant long-term contracts. In addition, the Calabrian business is characterized by strong cash generation and Adjusted EBITDA margins that are expected to be accretive to Ecovyst's portfolio," Bitting added.
