Investors Await Nvidia Earnings as Futures Show Little Change

Stock futures are little changed as investors largely sit on the sidelines ahead of Nvidia's earnings after the close.Investors are looking for evidence that the enormous AI infrastructure spending cycle remains intact, with Wall Street expecting quarterly revenue of roughly $92B for Nvidia. Given Nvidia's weighting in the major indexes and its importance to the semiconductor sector, a meaningful earnings beat or miss could have an outsized effect on the broader market.The bond market is getting some relief as oil prices fall below $90 a barrel on signs of progress toward managing shipping through the Strait of Hormuz. Dycom Reports Q2 Revenue of $2.01B, Exceeding Expectations

Reports Q2 revenue $2.01B, consensus $1.98B. "Dycom delivered record organic first half revenue, increased profitability, and continued above-market growth," said Dan Peyovich, Dycom's President and CEO. "Demand across our portfolio is stronger than ever, fueled by a generational deployment of digital infrastructure that is projected to go well into the next decade. We secured significant new awards, growing our backlog to a record level. Dycom Authorizes $150M Stock Repurchase Program

Dycom announced that its board of directors has authorized a new $150M program to repurchase shares of Dycom's outstanding common stock. The new program replaces the company's previous $150M stock repurchase program of which approximately $83.9M remained outstanding. As of August 24, the company had 30,160,957 shares of common stock outstanding, excluding the dilutive effect of stock options and unvested restricted stock.
