Bark Appoints Anya Hamill as Chief Financial Officer
Bark announced that Anya Hamill will join the Company as Chief Financial Officer, effective September 8, 2026. Hamill will report to BARK's Co-Founder, Executive Chairman, and Chief Executive Officer, Matt Meeker. "Anya is an important addition to our leadership team as we continue to scale our business and strengthen BARK's position as the world's most dog-centric company," said Mr. Meeker. "Her experience driving business performance at public and private companies, combined with her deep familiarity with consumer packaged goods across digital and retail channels, will be exceptionally beneficial as we continue to grow and deliver value to all of our stockholders. We welcome Anya and her dog, Chachi, to BARK."

Middle East Tensions Impact Markets, Apple Shares Down 3.7%
Tuesday trading remained volatile as Middle East hostilities and renewed pressure in the Treasury market has been compounded by more active repositioning before the dawn of the trillion-dollar IPO trifecta, with SpaceX, OpenAI, and Anthropic all rushing toward public listings. Energy and Tech - the top two sectors on Monday - were the worst performers on Tuesday. Meanwhile Real Estate and Industrials led the benchmark. Mega-cap Tech was also generally under heavy pressure, with notable 3.7% declines in Appleshares, 3% drop in Tesla, and a 2% slide in Microsoft.In the opening hours of the evening session, S&P e-minis and Nasdaq 100 contracts are both down about 0.3%. In commodities, WTI Crude Oil is back above $89 per barrel following retaliatory strikes by U.S. forces against Iranian military installation after the latter downed a U.S. helicopter patrolling the Strait of Hormuz. Trump Postpones Strikes on Iranian Energy, Market Sentiment Improves
Hopes for de-escalation in the Middle East conflict helped restore positive sentiment as President Trump's Truth Social post that strikes on Iranian energy infrastructure would be postponed after "productive" talks with Tehran boosted equities and dented geopolitical premium in the energy markets. Consumer Discretionary and Materials were the best performing areas on the benchmark S&P 500, though all 11 sectors ended Monday in the positive - including Energy in spite of Oil prices falling back below $90 per barrel. In the opening hour of the evening session, S&P 500 futures are up another 0.2% and Nasdaq 100 is trading up 0.3% while WTI Crude is just off the closing lows above $89. In precious metals, risk aversion which had boosted USD and punished Gold and Silver prices has reversed, and the two contracts are trading firmer around $4.435 and $70 per ounce respectively.Among the key headlines of the afterhours session continued to remind investors that the primary source of concern are still present. Core Labsissued a below-consensus Q1 pre-announcement as the company cited regional instability in the Middle East, including client-driven project delays, travel constraints, and supply-chain disruptions. BARK Updates Cost Reduction Initiatives, Expects $28 Million Savings
BARK "provided an update on the Company's recent cost reduction initiatives and the status of potential refunds of tariffs previously paid under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act. BARK has completed a series of cost reduction initiatives during the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2026 as part of a broader effort to improve operating efficiency, and drive profitability and free cash flow of the business. The measures are designed to align the Company's cost structure with current business needs. The Company expects these actions to result in up to $28 million of annualized cost savings, consisting of: approximately $26 million from workforce, operating efficiencies across sales & marketing and general & administrative, through: Targeted headcount reductions and attrition; Increased use of automation, including Artificial Intelligence tools; Streamlined utilization of external and offshore partners; Approximately $2 million from a reduction in corporate office footprint."
