Albany International Agrees with Boeing to Continue 787 Fuselage Frame Production
Albany International (AIN) segment Albany Engineered Composites reached an agreement with Boeing (BA) to continue composite fuselage frame manufacturing for the 787 Dreamliner. Under the agreement, Albany continues to manufacture about 300 unique composite fuselage frames for the 787 Dreamliner. Albany has produced composite fuselage frames for Sections 41 and 43 since Boeing's original award in 2014. The Boeing 787 work is performed at Albany's facility in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Albany International announced that Willard Station, EVP and CFO, is taking a medical leave of absence. The Albany International Board of Directors has appointed Sean Valashinas, the Company's Controller and Chief Accounting Officer, as acting CFO.

Reports Q2 revenue $329.5M, consensus $340.1M. Gunnar Kleveland, Albany International's President and Chief Executive Officer, said, "Our second-quarter performance delivered the strongest Adjusted EBITDA we have achieved in the past two years and grew 11.5% year-over-year, despite modestly lower-than-expected revenue due to several discrete factors. This result reflects the progress we have made to build a more nimble company and underscores the strength of our operating model, our focus on profitable growth, and the dedication of the Albany team."

Albany Engineered Composites Partners with A&P Technology to Develop Aerospace Composites
Albany Engineered Composites and A&P Technology are partnering to explore and develop advanced braided composite manufacturing solutions for both current and next-generation aerospace and defense applications. The collaboration brings together two highly complementary manufacturing technologies, A&P Technology's braided composite architectures and Albany Engineered Composites' advanced Resin Transfer Molding manufacturing expertise, to accelerate the industrialization of lightweight, highly integrated composite structures capable of supporting future commercial and defense aircraft production requirements. The companies intend to collaborate on research, technology development, manufacturing process maturation and commercialization opportunities focused on purpose-designed braided composite structures for current and next generation aeroengine platforms, commercial aircraft, Advanced Air Mobility blades and structures, Collaborative Combat Aircraft, and solid rocket motor nozzles.
