Riot disclosed on Monday that it had secured a 20-year deal to supply 191 megawatts of capacity from its Rockdale, Texas, campus to a "leading frontier AI" company, and sources say that company is Anthropic.MULTI-YEAR STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP:Quantinuumand Oracleannounced a multi-year strategic partnership to bring quantum computing to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. Under the partnership, OCI customers will be able to directly access Quantinuum's Helios, the most accurate commercial quantum computer in the world, through OCI's quantum service, alongside OCI's high-performance computing and GPU infrastructure. Together, Quantinuum and Oracle plan to explore how hybrid quantum-AI infrastructure could address some of the most computationally intensive challenges facing enterprises and broaden access for universities and research institutions advancing scientific discovery and education. We see a price opportunity in the $40-50 million per MW range and we signed our first one this week. Overall deal economics strengthened, with 70% of deals including prepayments, covering 50-60% of the associated capex. Together, the expected payback period for the associated capex and related operating costs for Q2 deals is 1 year and 10 months, down from our two-to-three year payback period previously. We could sell our entire 2027 capacity on these terms today.
