Volaris ASM Capacity Up 14.4% in July, 3.3M Passengers Transported
In July, Volaris' ASM capacity increased 14.4%, while RPMs for the month grew 18.5%. Mexican domestic RPMs rose 16.0%, while international RPMs increased 22.4%. Consolidated load factor increased by three percentage points year-over-year to 87.9%. During the month, Volaris transported 3.3M passengers.
Volaris Reports 4.9% Increase in May Traffic
Volaris reported its May preliminary traffic results. In May, Volaris' ASM capacity decreased by 0.4%, while RPMs for the month grew 4.9%. Mexican domestic RPMs declined by 1.4%, while international RPMs increased 15.9%. Consolidated load factor increased by 4.3 percentage points year-over-year to 86.2%. During the month, Volaris transported 2.7M passengers. Enrique Beltranena, Volaris' president and CEO, said: "May traffic results reflect our continued disciplined execution across the network. Our performance remains in line with the guidance and we remain focused on optimizing capacity deployment, enhancing revenue quality, and leveraging the flexibility of our business model. As we proactively aligned capacity with the current environment, demand trends remained healthy, supported by strong close-in bookings during the month, particularly in the cross-border market."

Volaris reports its April 2026 preliminary traffic results. In April, Volaris' ASM capacity decreased by 1.9%, while RPMs for the month grew 1.6%. Mexican domestic RPMs declined by 2.7%, while international RPMs increased 8.9%. Consolidated load factor increased by 2.9 percentage points year-over-year to 84.6%. During the month, Volaris transported 2.7 million passengers. Enrique Beltranena, Volaris' President and CEO, said: "In April, demand remained resilient across both domestic and international markets, supported by strong Semana Santa and Spring Break travel periods. Amid elevated global jet fuel prices and as discussed during our first-quarter earnings call, we implemented targeted capacity reductions during the month-mostly in the domestic market, while prioritizing the higher-yielding transborder segment. We continue to execute our long-term strategy, while remaining disciplined and flexible in our capacity deployment."

Demand remained solid across our network, supported by continued momentum in cross-border markets and strong top-line performance. We are responding to fuel price volatility with agility, leveraging the flexibility of our model through capacity adjustments, network optimization, and targeted pricing actions, which have been well-absorbed, with demand remaining resilient across our markets. At the same time, we are operating from a position of strength, supported by a more diversified network, a disciplined fleet strategy, and a strong balance sheet. Looking ahead, we remain focused on prioritizing profitability, supported by continued improvements in fleet productivity as engine availability recovers. We are confident in our ability to adapt to evolving conditions, supported by the flexibility embedded in our operations and fleet plan, while positioning the business for long-term value creation."

Volaris reported its March preliminary traffic results. In March, Volaris' ASM capacity increased 1.5%, while RPMs for the month grew 1.9%. Mexican domestic RPMs declined 3.9%, while international RPMs increased 11.5%. Consolidated load factor increased by 0.3 percentage points year-over-year to 84.7%. During the month, Volaris transported 2.7 passengers. Enrique Beltranena, Volaris' president and CEO, said: "During March, we continued to see solid demand across both domestic and international markets, including the shoulder season leading into Semana Santa and spring break travel periods. While demand for travel this Spring remains strong, we are closely monitoring the impact of higher jet fuel prices and will implement targeted capacity adjustments and gradual fare and ancillary increases as necessary. We will provide further details on these actions during our first-quarter earnings call."
