Company Reports Q2 Revenue of $35.9M, Up 25% Year-over-Year
Reports Q2 revenue $35.9M vs. $28.7M last year. Book value per common share was $47.77, up 15% annualized from Q1. Common Equity Tier 1 ratio was 12.81%, up 178 basis points from Q1 and up from 10.71% for 2Q25. "Our Q2 results continue to show impressive momentum. We increased retail client deposits by $184M in Q2, representing a 22% annualized growth rate, and our loan portfolio grew at an annualized rate of 9% during the quarter. Our efficient business model, vibrant markets, and focus on organic growth are creating value for our clients and our shareholders. Our Q2 net income was $11.2M, a 70% increase from the same quarter last year and a 13% increase over Q1 2026. We also strengthened our capital position by raising gross proceeds of $65.2M and issuing 1.2 million additional common shares earlier in the quarter to support our strong growth expectations. As planned, we redeemed a portion of our subordinated notes, which were subject to phase-out from regulatory capital treatment and carried a higher interest rate. We are proud of our team and our accomplishments this quarter, which we believe positions us for continued success in the second half of 2026," stated CEO Art Seaver.

Reports Q1 net interest margin 2.88%, a 16 basis point increase from 2.72% for 4Q25. Common equity Tier1 ratio was 11.03%, down slightly from 4Q25, and up from 10.75% for 1Q25. Book value per common share was $46.00 from $44.89 at previous quarter. "We are excited to report our Q1 2026 results which include record retail deposit growth of nearly $210M, representing a 27% annualized growth rate. Our Q1 2026 net income was $9.9M and is 88% higher than the same quarter last year. We have tremendous momentum in growing client relationships and raised additional capital in the form of common equity this quarter to support our growth expectations," stated CEO Art Seaver.
Southern First Bancshares Launches Underwritten Public Offering
Southern First Bancshares announced that it has launched an underwritten public offering of shares of its common stock. The company intends to use the net proceeds of the offering for general corporate purposes, which may include, among other things, supporting organic growth initiatives, providing capital to its bank subsidiary, redeeming or repurchasing outstanding indebtedness, including subordinated debt, and for working capital purposes. Piper Sandler & Co. is serving as the sole book-running manager for the offering. Keefe, Bruyette & Woods, A Stifel Company, is serving as co-manager.
