Stifel Financial Makes Strategic Investment in Meow Technologies

Stifel Financial announced that it has made a strategic minority investment in Meow Technologies and has entered into a services agreement under which Stifel will offer through its subsidiary bank, Stifel Bank, a white-label version of Meow's treasury management platform to its commercial banking clients, with an initial focus on Venture and Fund Banking. Under the agreement, Stifel will have access to Meow's current and forward capabilities, giving Stifel clients a modern digital experience for managing cash, payments, cards, and day-to-day treasury operations across operating companies and multi-entity fund structures. Stifel expects to begin onboarding clients to the new platform in early 2027.

Ronald Kruszewski: Client Assets Reach Record Growth

Ronald Kruszewski, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, said, "Total client assets and fee-based client assets reached record highs, increasing 12% and 17% year over year, excluding SIA, supported by strong recruiting and market appreciation. Treasury deposits continued to grow, increasing 7% month over month, underscoring the strength of our diversified funding mix and more than offsetting declines in client money market and insured product balances. For the third quarter, we anticipate that firm-wide net revenue will be essentially flat with the third quarter of 2025 as strong growth in our Global Wealth Management segment will offset a roughly 15% decline in our Institutional Group, which primarily reflects lower transactional revenue and a modest decline in investment banking revenue. That said, we remain encouraged by the robust pipelines across our Institutional Group and continue to expect strong segment results in the second half of the year."

Stifel Financial Reports July Results, Client Assets Reach $578 Billion

Stifel Financial reported selected operating results for July 31. Ronald Kruszewski, chairman and CEO, said, "Record fee-based client assets of $240 billion and total client assets of $578 increased 17% and 13%, respectively, year-over-year after excluding the impact of the SIA sale. Growth was driven by strong markets and solid recruiting. We remain on track to reach our full year loan guidance of $4 billion. Total loans grew more than 3% in the month of July led by continued strength in fund banking and residential mortgages. Treasury deposits increased more than $600 million in July, reflecting continued growth in venture deposits. Client money market and insured product balances declined by 5% during the month, primarily due to lower sweep balances."
