Company Expects Strong Improvement in Q1 2026 Results
In a letter to shareholders, the company said, "The present situation is tumultuous, leading to very strong results. The first quarter of 2026 is expected to be much better than the last quarter of 2025, which were reported February 26, 2026. The infomation below shows the excellent performance. Fixture 1) From the US Gulf via Cape Good Hope to the Far East. The TCE is USD 175,000 over 85 days. Fixture 2) From West Africa to Asia. The TCE is USD 77,000 over 65 days. Fixture 3) A 90-day fixture. The TCE rate is USD 88,000 per day. Fixture 4) A voyage from the Baltic to Asia. The TCE is USD 150,000 over 60 days. Fixture 5) From Guyana to Europe. The TCE is USD 41,000 over 58 days. Fixture 6) From West Africa to Asia. The TCE is USD 94,000 over 54 days. Fixtures 5 & 6 were concluded before the Middle East war broke out Feb 28th. Our operating costs are about USD 9,000/day."
Herbjorn Hansson Announces Sale of 2005 Built Ship for $40M
In a letter to investors, CEO Herbjorn Hansson wrote, " This is to advise you that we have entered into an agreement to sell a 2005 built ship, at a price of about $40M. We expect that our fleet will increase in the years to come. The company is in a very solid position and prospects are good."
Nordic American Tankers Sells 2003 Suezmax for $25 Million
CEO Herbjorn Hansson said, "I am pleased to announce that we have entered into a sales agreement for a 2003-built suezmax tanker. The sales price of the ship is $25 million net to us and the ship has no debt. Nordic American Tankers Ltd. is in a solid position."
NAT Signs Contracts for Two Suezmax Tankers at $86 Million Each
In a letter to shareholders, CEO Herbjorn Hansson said, "I am pleased to inform you that the following transactions have been carried through: The earlier announced preliminary agreements for the construction of two suezmax tankers have now been signed.The price is $86 million for each ship. The South Korean shipyard Daehan Shipbuilding is the builder. The ships will be delivered to NAT in 2028. This week we have also finalized the previously announced sale of two vessels built 2004 and 2005. The two ships have been delivered to the buyer. The net cash to NAT is $50M. These transactions show an active period. We have refinanced parts of our fleet, sold four ships, bought two ships, and ordered two newbuildings. We experience a very favorable tanker market. NAT is in a solid position."
Nordic American Tankers Sells Two Suezmax Tankers for $50M
Nordic American Tankers has entered into firm agreements to sell two suezmax tankers at a net price of $50M for both vessels. The vessels are expected to be delivered to the buyers during January 2026. Both vessels are debt free. The company expects to record a book profit from the sale of the two ships of about $14M. As advised earlier, the company entered into a preliminary agreement to have two newbuildings constructed at a South-Korean shipyard for delivery in in the second half of 2028. A firm agreement is expected to be signed in January 2026.
