Trump Calls for Powell's Resignation, Accuses Mismanagement

Catch up on the top industries and stocks that were impacted, or were predicted to be impacted, by the comments, actions and policies of President Donald Trump with this daily recap compiled by The Fly.FED BOARD:President Donald Trump stated in ato Truth Social, "The Inspector General's Report just came out on Jerome 'Too Late' Powell's 'renovation' of the Federal Reserve Headquarters in Washington, D.C. The IG's Report states that there were 'deficiencies in the management of the renovation project.' The Building is over budget, at a Record Setting rate and, at a minimum, 'Too Late' Powell should be forced to resign from the Board. He can't manage a Building, and he certainly shouldn't be allowed to manage his High Interest Rate Policy (only on 'TRUMP!'). I have asked Attorney General Todd Blanche to study the report, and make a determination as to what to do about a relatively small Building Complex that is Hundreds of Millions of Dollars over budget, and is now going to cost, according to the Report, at least 2.5 Billion Dollars, with no end in sight... This is Jerome Powell's fault, and he should be forced to resign, IMMEDIATELY! If he doesn't resign, he should be sued, at the highest level, by the United States Government, for either corruption or incompetence, both of which are completely unacceptable...And no, I do not want this Building named after President Donald J. Trump, ME! Thank you for your attention to this matter."TRUMP ACCOUNTS:Based on new rules published Tuesday, the Treasury Department will automatically enroll more than 60 million additional children under age 18 in the government's new Trump Accounts as soon as this week, replacing the previous structure that required parents or guardians to sign up,The Wall Street Journal. Previously, the U.S. Department of the Treasury announced that it designated The Bank of New York Mellonas a financial agent of the U.S. government to support implementation of the new Trump Accounts program. "Under this designation, BNY will manage the initial accounts and help develop the new Trump Accounts app - a secure, user-friendly platform that will enable families to easily access and manage their accounts. As part of this process, BNY has partnered with Robinhood, which will serve as brokerage and initial trustee for Trump Accounts," Treasury stated.AI INDUSTRY PLEDGE:MetaCEO Mark Zuckerberg helped initiate and draft the principles behind the White House's voluntary AI industry accord, working with Nvidia'sJensen Huang and other executives to address regulatory and safety concerns, Semafor's Ashley Gold, citing sources. The agreement, signed by Meta, OpenAI, Anthropic, xAI, Google, and Nvidia, commits companies to internal controls and outside audits but leaves implementation details limited.
