GE HealthCare Launches Global Clinical Evaluation Program for StarGuide GX
GE HealthCare announced a global clinical evaluation program spanning three continents and five institutions to assess StarGuide GX, its next-generation digital 4D SPECT/CT system. Participating institutions include Hadassah Medical Center in Israel; Mayo Clinic in the United States; Oncopole Claudius Regaud - Institut Universitaire du Cancer de Toulouse in France; Peking University First Hospital in China; and Rambam Health Care Campus. Across the program, participating institutions will evaluate image quality, quantitative performance, dynamic imaging and workflow while providing clinical and research feedback to help inform the future evolution of StarGuide GX, the company said in a statement.
GE HealthCare Launches New LOGIQ Focus Ultrasound System
GE HealthCare announced LOGIQ Focus, a new addition to its LOGIQ family of general imaging ultrasound systems, designed to bring advanced imaging tools to a broader range of ultrasound exams. "As demand for imaging grows, clinicians shouldn't have to choose between image quality and efficiency," said Karley Yoder, Chief Executive Officer, Ultrasound Solutions, Advanced Imaging Solutions, GE HealthCare. "LOGIQ Focus builds on more than 30 years of LOGIQ innovation to deliver both, combining advanced imaging and clinician-centered AI-enabled tools that care teams rely on every day."
GE HealthCare Publishes Anesthesia Study from University of Michigan
GE HealthCare announced the publication of research conducted at the University of Michiganiv evaluating the use of End-tidal Control software across a large multisite academic health system in Anesthesia & Analgesia Practice. The retrospective observational study analyzed 12,818 adult general anesthesia cases performed at University of Michigan Health - Ann Arbor locations between April 1, 2023 and September 30, 2024 on anesthesia machines with End-tidal Control software. The study found End-tidal Control was used in 6,755 cases and its use was associated with: 62.3% reduction in median fresh gas flow during maintenance of anesthesia; 39.3% reduction in sevoflurane consumption. "Health systems are looking for practical ways to support clinicians while advancing more sustainable care," said John Beard, MD, anesthesiologist and Chief Medical Officer of Patient Care Solutions at GE HealthCare. "This research at the University of Michigan adds important real-world evidence of End-tidal Control use at scale and how it may help reduce fresh gas flows and anesthetic agent consumption." End-tidal Control software supports the clinician in maintaining clinician-set targets for end-tidal anesthetic agent and oxygen concentrations with greater accuracy than manual adjustments. End-tidal Control supports low-flow anesthesia, which may help reduce the amount of anesthetic agent utilized and potentially lower greenhouse gas emissions and costs. The study also found variation in End-tidal Control use was significantly driven by the in-room anesthesia clinician, underscoring the importance of workflow, education and implementation considerations when deploying anesthesia technologies at scale.
GE HealthCare Announces MINItrace Magni Achieves CE Mark
GE HealthCare announced that its MINItrace Magni cyclotron has achieved CE Mark and that its PETtrace Solid Target Platform is expanding beyond Gallium-68 with support for Copper-64 production. The developments reflect the company's focus on helping institutions build the production capabilities behind their molecular imaging programs. Key highlights: MINItrace Magni combines a compact, self-shielded design with automated operation to help healthcare providers establish and expand local production of radioisotopes used in PET tracers; Copper-64 expands the PETtrace Solid Target Platform beyond Gallium-68, supporting research in both copper-based imaging agents and the potential Copper-64/Copper-67 theranostic pair
