CitroTech and Athena Intelligence Announce Strategic Partnership
CitroTech and Athena Intelligence announced a strategic partnership to bring geospatial intelligence to wildfire prevention. By combining CitroTech's fire-inhibitor technology with Athena's geospatial intelligence platform, the companies are enabling more precise assessments that move beyond static wildfire risk maps to provide targeted protection for utilities, municipal leaders, and homeowners. Athena's Voice of the Acre platform evaluates conditions across four layers of intelligence, from block-level risk profiling down to pixel-level fire behavior and treatment modeling. It draws on dozens of environmental and wildfire data sources to translate vegetation and fuel characteristics, weather, moisture, topography, and surrounding landscape conditions into highly granular, interconnected insights. These insights help utility providers, homeowners, and community leaders identify and prioritize locations for treatment before a fire starts or spreads. During an active wildfire event, real-time conditions can guide where resources should be deployed and how mitigation strategies should adapt. Treatment and performance data then feed back into the platform to measure outcomes and refine future decisions. The platform also accounts for mitigation activity - or its absence - beyond the boundary of an individual property or asset, showing how one decision can affect surrounding risk profiles.
