Q2 Revenue of $18.94M Exceeds Expectations
Reports Q2 revenue $18.94M, consensus $17.95M. "Our second quarter 2026 results reflect the growing momentum of aprevo procedures and further progress on our path to profitability," said Mike Cordonnier, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. "We delivered 57% revenue growth year-over-year, expanded gross margins by 340 basis points, and grew our trained surgeon user base by more than 60% over the prior year. We continue to see strong volume growth across lumbar and cervical aprevo procedures, with continued advancements in our proprietary digital production system enabling scalability ahead of strong market demand. We believe the recent CMS ruling - which takes effect on October 1, 2026, and provides new and enhanced hospital reimbursement for the aprevo lumbar procedure - positions us well for ongoing growth in the years to come."

Carlsmed Secures Favorable Reimbursement Policy from CMS
Carlsmed announced that the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, or CMS, has finalized a favorable reimbursement policy applicable to inpatient aprevo Lumbar spinal fusion procedures in the Hospital Inpatient Prospective Payment System, or IPPS, Final Rule for FY27. The new MS-DRG assignments and payment rates will go into effect on October 1. In the FY27 IPPS Final Rule, CMS addressed Carlsmed's request and reassigned aprevo Lumbar fusion procedures to three newly created MS-DRGs 523, 524, and 525. Under the final rule, all inpatient aprevo Lumbar fusion procedures are eligible for reimbursement under one of these three new MS-DRG codes.

"The publication of peer-reviewed data from a retrospective cohort study in Global Spine Journal demonstrates a 74% reduction in revision rates for aprevo, which represents one of the most significant advancements in reducing reoperations in adult spinal deformity over the past two decades.
