WeRide and GreenMobility Announce Strategic Partnership
WeRide and GreenMobility announced a strategic partnership to deploy autonomous shared mobility services in Denmark. The partnership combines WeRide's Level 4 autonomous driving technology with GreenMobility's local fleet operations and shared mobility expertise, making the companies the first to pursue commercial autonomous mobility deployment in Denmark, subject to regulatory approvals. Under the partnership, the companies aim to launch public service in the first half of 2027, and all riders will be able to request a ride fulfilled by the GXR, WeRide's latest generation, EU-compliant fully self-driving vehicle. Denmark marks the sixth European market for WeRide, following recent expansion into Spain and Slovakia.
WeRide Partners with Geely to Develop Right-Hand-Drive Robotaxis
WeRide announced the joint development of Robotaxis specifically designed for right-hand-drive markets, as part of a strategic partnership with Geely Farizon New Energy Commercial Vehicle Group, China's top new energy commercial vehicle brand, and Kwoon Chung Bus Holdings Limited, a leading public transport operator in Hong Kong at the 2026 International Automotive & Supply Chain Expo. Given the current lack of right-hand-drive Robotaxis in the market, this collaboration delivers a customized solution specifically tailored for right-hand-drive systems. By leveraging their respective strengths in autonomous driving innovation, new energy vehicle manufacturing, and public transport operations, the purpose-built, mass-produced right-hand-drive Robotaxi will be designed based on the existing production-ready GXR platform. The deployment of commercial right-hand-drive Robotaxi services will begin in Hong Kong, bringing transformative autonomous mobility solutions to right-hand-drive markets worldwide.
WeRide and Uber Launch Robotaxi Services in Zurich
WeRide (WRD) and Uber (UBER) announced plans to launch commercial Robotaxi services in the Greater Zurich Region, marking their second joint deployment in Europe within weeks of announcing Madrid. Operations are expected to begin later this year in collaboration with Switzerland's Federal Roads Office. Rides will be available via the Uber app during launch, subject to regulatory approval.
