Universal Reports Q2 Revenue of $379.3M
Reports Q2 revenue $379.3M vs. $393.8M last year. "Our second quarter results reflect improved execution within our portfolio of transportation and logistics services," stated Tim Phillips, Universal's CEO. "Our contract logistics and trucking segments delivered solid results, reflecting our disciplined operating approach and commitment to providing best-in-class service. We also made meaningful progress within our intermodal segment, positioning the business to benefit from a continued recovery in freight markets. Universal Logistics Appoints Michael Rogers as CFO
Universal Logistics (ULH) announced that Michael Rogers has been appointed CFO and Treasurer, effective June 1. Rogers currently serves as CFO of Conlan Tire Co., Hercules Materials Holdings, and certain of their privately held affiliates. Prior to that time, Rogers spent approximately thirty years with Ford Motor Company (F) in a variety of finance-related leadership roles.

"Our contract logistics and trucking segments performed in line with expectations, while underperformance in intermodal remained a meaningful headwind to our overall results. We remain focused on driving efficiencies in our operations and executing cost-saving initiatives across the organization to support profitable growth. Universal Logistics delays release of Q3 earnings report.
Universal Logistics has postponed the release of its financial results for Q3 previously scheduled for October 23. The delay is to allow additional time to complete certain financial reporting procedures related to the calculation of non-cash impairment charges on certain intangible assets associated with the company's intermodal segment. Universal is also postponing the investor conference call originally scheduled for October 24, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. ET. The company will announce a new date and time for the issuance of its earnings release and conference call once the financial reporting process is complete.

"Universal's results for the second quarter, although muted, were broadly in-line with our previously guided expectations," stated Tim Phillips, Universal's CEO. "Our contract logistics segment continues to deliver solid results and demonstrates the strategic advantage of Universal's diverse service offerings. Our trucking segment also performed well, sequentially growing their results on both the top and bottom lines. While our intermodal franchise continues to underperform, we are making progress on our profitability initiatives, narrowing our losses on a quarter-over-quarter basis. As we continue to navigate a persistently weak freight backdrop, we remain committed to delivering exceptional service to our customers and making strategic investments to drive our long-term growth initiatives."
