JonesResearch Maintains Buy Rating on Tyra with $56 Price Target

JonesResearch analyst Boris Peaker says that with its Q2 earnings report, Tyra Biosciences announced that the update from the Phase II SURF-302 clinical readout with dabogratinib in FGFR3-altered intermediate-risk non-muscle invasive bladder cancer is pushed to September from August. It is clear the pushout is due to an increase in patients to over 40 from the prior guidance of over 20, the analyst tells investors in a research note. Jones does not view the pushback in timing negatively. It expects the "will clearly demonstrate the efficacy and safety" of dabogratinib. The firm keeps a Buy rating on Tyra with a $56 price target. The stock in midday trading is down 20%, or $6.39, to $26.15.

TYRA Reports $383.5M in Cash and Securities, Advancing Drug Development

As of March 31 TYRA had cash, cash equivalents and marketable securities of $383.5M. The Company's current cash, cash equivalents and marketable securities are expected to allow TYRA to execute on its plans into the second half of 2028. "Our dabogratinib '3x3' strategy continues to advance with steady progress across all three programs," said Todd Harris, CEO of TYRA. "We are taking a differentiated, data-driven approach by aligning our development strategy with the patient journey in FGFR3-driven diseases and conditions. The dosing of the first patient in SURF303 marks an important milestone, as we initiate a potentially registrational study in LG-UTUC that could support TYRA's first NDA submission. With multiple clinical data readouts expected this year, we remain focused on unlocking the full potential of selective FGFR3 inhibition with oral dabogratinib."
