T1 Energy Approved to Build 50 MW Data Center in Norway
T1 Energy announced that local officials in Mo i Rana, Norway, have rezoned a portion of the company's Giga Arctic campus, allowing for the development of a data center. T1 is pursuing multiple pathways to monetize this brownfield facility as part of a value optimization initiative. T1 expects that a 50 MW data center could be operational in 2027, with a pathway to expansion. T1 has a position in the grid capacity queue for a total of 396 MW. T1 believes the existing 926,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art Giga Arctic building is large enough to house a data center of that size.

Reports Q2 revenue $250.13M, consensus $198.84M. "We made significant advances during and since the second quarter to strengthen T1's long-term competitive position while we fund and execute our domestic vertical integration strategy," said Dan Barcelo, Chairman and CEO of T1 Energy. "Our mission to power America with industry leading solar technology while we support the domestic polysilicon industry is resonating with customers, and we are focused on delivering strong operational and financial performance in the second half of 2026 while we continue to make meaningful progress at G2_Austin, our flagship U.S. solar cell fab."
T1 Energy Supports Trump Administration's Measures to Prevent Market Dumping
"T1 Energy supports the decision by the Trump Administration, following an extensive Section 232 investigation, to take decisive steps to prevent market dumping and manipulation, strengthen American manufacturing, create high-quality jobs, and ensure a thriving domestic solar industry. T1 believes setting a minimum import price on polysilicon and derivative products supports a U.S. solar industry that can provide scalable, reliable, and low-cost energy for Americans and American electricity grids. T1 believes this decision will support American jobs, manufacturing, and energy abundance. We believe the new policy supports T1's strategy to build a leading vertically integrated solar supply chain. This includes our previously disclosed supply contracts for American polysilicon and wafers from Hemlock Semiconductor and Corning. T1's 5GW solar module facility, G1_Dallas, can produce enough solar modules annually to generate electricity equivalent to the usage of more than one million American homes. T1's 2.1GW solar cell fab, G2_Austin, is under construction and expected to produce its first solar cells in Q1 2027. Upon G2's completion, T1 expects to have a domestic solar supply chain, utilizing our recently acquired TOPCon technology and intellectual property." "This is a win for advanced American manufacturing and investment in domestic energy supply chains. It helps companies like ours that are creating thousands of high-quality American jobs and we appreciate the Trump Administration's leadership to bring manufacturing back to America," said Dan Barcelo, Chairman & CEO of Austin-based T1 Energy. "For too long, America forgot how to build. Now, we're building energy again which is foundational to prosperity."
