Stifel Reports Q3 Revenue of $1.43B, Below Consensus

Reports Q3 revenue $1.43B, consensus $1.45B. Reports Q3 tangible book value per share $26.05. Ronald Kruszewski, chairman and CEO, said "Stifel is on track for another record year, with year-to-date revenue of $4.3 billion up 9%, core earnings per share of $4.33 up 22%, and return on tangible common equity of 24.1%. The investments we've made in our business continued to drive operating efficiencies, as we delivered our highest ever third quarter earnings per share of $1.46, up 12% versus the prior year, on net revenue of $1.43 billion. I am optimistic about our outlook, as Stifel's diversified business model, recurring revenue stream, and disciplined capital management position us to keep compounding value for shareholders."

Ronald Kruszewski: Client Assets Reach Record Growth

Ronald Kruszewski, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, said, "Total client assets and fee-based client assets reached record highs, increasing 12% and 17% year over year, excluding SIA, supported by strong recruiting and market appreciation. Treasury deposits continued to grow, increasing 7% month over month, underscoring the strength of our diversified funding mix and more than offsetting declines in client money market and insured product balances. For the third quarter, we anticipate that firm-wide net revenue will be essentially flat with the third quarter of 2025 as strong growth in our Global Wealth Management segment will offset a roughly 15% decline in our Institutional Group, which primarily reflects lower transactional revenue and a modest decline in investment banking revenue. That said, we remain encouraged by the robust pipelines across our Institutional Group and continue to expect strong segment results in the second half of the year."
