Skyworks and Qorvo Announce Executive Team for Combined Company
Skyworks Solutions (SWKS) and Qorvo (QRVO) announced the expected executive leadership team for the combined company, effective upon the successful completion of the pending transaction. Phil Brace, president and CEO of Skyworks, will serve as CEO of the combined company. The following executives are expected to report to Brace as of the closing: Philip Carter as CFO and senior VP; Philip Chesley as senior VP and president of high performance analog; Kari Durham as senior VP, human resources; J.K. Givens as senior VP and general counsel, secretary; Yusuf Jamal as senior VP and general manager of RF and mixed-signal intelligence solutions; Reza Kasnavi as executive VP, chief operations and technology officer; Joel King as senior VP and general manager of mobile solutions business; Todd Lepinski as senior VP, sales and marketing; and Frank Stewart as senior VP and president of advanced cellular. Bob Bruggeworth, president and CEO of Qorvo, is expected to join the board of directors of the combined company post-close.
Qorvo Non-GAAP Gross Margin Increases to 52.8%
Grant Brown, chief financial officer of Qorvo, said, "Qorvo is improving business mix within and across operating segments, reducing capital intensity, and structurally enhancing profitability. Compared to the prior-year June quarter, non-GAAP gross margin expanded 880 basis points to 52.8% and non-GAAP EPS increased 78% to $1.64. We expect continued strong financial performance throughout fiscal 2027."

Bob Bruggeworth, president and chief executive officer of Qorvo, said, "The Qorvo team delivered strong June quarterly financial results, supported by double-digit year-over-year revenue growth in D&A, infrastructure, and power, coupled with our successful pivot in ACG to higher value placements. For full-year fiscal 2027, we continue to expect non-GAAP gross margin above 50% and now expect non-GAAP diluted earnings per share above $7.00."
Rochester Electronics and Qorvo Complete Global Distribution Agreement
Rochester Electronics and Qorvo announced the completion of a worldwide distribution agreement. This collaboration significantly expands access to Qorvo's RF and power high-performance semiconductor solutions for customers worldwide, with a particular emphasis on longevity of supply and lifecycle support. Through Rochester Electronics' unique position as a licensed manufacturer and authorized continuing source of semiconductors, Qorvo is extending the availability of its products to meet lifecycle design needs. This agreement not only helps ensure continuity for long-term applications but also contributes to technological sustainability by minimizing the need for system redesigns, providing risk mitigation for ongoing programs, and supporting the reuse and longevity of existing Qorvo-based hardware platforms.
