Nebius Acquires Inferize for Inference Optimization Technology
Nebius has acquired Inferize, an inference optimization company whose technology shortens the time needed to launch and scale large AI models, making inference workloads elastic. Inferize's technology and team have joined Nebius Token Factory, Nebius's managed inference platform for production AI. Cold starts - the time models need to load before serving a single request - impose additional time and costs on teams running AI models in production at scale. This leaves assigned GPUs idle at launch time, when demand spikes and new instances spin up, and when weights are updated mid-run for example during reinforcement learning - and forces platforms to hold spare capacity just to hit their service-level targets. Inferize's technology cuts this "idle GPU tax", enabling capacity to scale much more closely with actual usage and driving higher capacity utilization and better token economics. Inferize adds another layer to how Nebius runs production inference. Eigen AI brought optimization at the model, kernel and system levels into Nebius Token Factory, while Clarifai's core team and licensed technology added system-level inference and compute orchestration. Founded in January 2026, the Inferize team had a working prototype within three months. Inferize's engineers will work across Nebius Token Factory, starting with the integration of their technology. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
AIB Data Centers Signs 50 MW Agreement with Nebius
AIB Data Centers (AIB) announced that it has entered into a binding agreement with Nebius (NBIS), the AI cloud company, for 50 MW of critical IT capacity at AIB's facility located in the southeastern United States. "Signing Nebius represents a transformational milestone for AIB," said Jerry Tang, Chief Executive Officer of AIB Data Centers. "Our strategy is straightforward: secure power in attractive markets and convert that power into long-term contracted revenue with leading AI infrastructure companies. This agreement validates that strategy. We believe we have a capital-efficient path to develop the initial capacity. Our focus now turns to execution and delivering on schedule."
Major Averages Finish Near Flatline, Tech Stocks Weighed Down by Oracle
The major averages spent the morning in the red, but stocks pared losses later in the day and the S&P 500, Dow, and Nasdaq 100 finished not far from the flatline. Reports suggested that U.S. and Iranian negotiators were closer to agreeing on restoring tanker flows through the Strait of Hormuz, easing fuel prices and yields on shorter-dated maturities. A drop in Oracle shares weighed on the broader tech sector, balanced by renewed AI optimism following Meta's Muse product rollout event.Get caught up quickly on the top news and calls moving stocks with these five Top Five lists.1.
