Mercantile Reports Q3 Revenue of $73.2M, Exceeding Expectations
Reports Q3 revenue $73.2M, consensus $70.84M. Reports Q3 tangible book value per share $37.81."Our financial performance metrics remained strong during the third quarter of 2026," said Ray Reitsma, president and CEO of Mercantile. "The robust operating results were fueled by net interest income expansion, reflecting solid earning asset growth and a higher net interest margin, a significant increase in treasury management fees, strong local deposit growth, a relatively low level of provision expense stemming from ongoing strength in asset quality measures, and the maintenance of a sound regulatory capital profile. As evidenced by the growth in the loan and local deposit portfolios, our team members have continued to meet the needs of existing customers and secure new client relationships. At the same time, we have devoted significant efforts and resources on core and digital banking system conversion-related activities to ensure a smooth transition that is expected to occur in the first quarter of 2027, which we believe will provide for a superior experience and a more durable platform for us and our customers. The notable net growth in local deposits provided for a further reduction in our loan-to-deposit ratio. We believe ample opportunities are available to us to expand our presence in Southeast Michigan, and as such, we have made meaningful investments in talented individuals to serve that area and gain market share."

"We are very pleased to report another quarter of strong financial performance as we continue to successfully navigate our way through the extended and ongoing period of uncertain global economic conditions and heightened geopolitical concerns," said Ray Reitsma, president and CEO of Mercantile. As evidenced by the ongoing expansion of local deposits, we remain committed to funding earning asset growth with local deposit generation."
