Hutchmed Announces AstraZeneca Submits New Drug Application
Hutchmed (HCM) "announces that AstraZeneca (AZN) has submitted a New Drug Application to the US Food and Drug Administration for ORPATHYS (savolitinib) plus TAGRISSO(R) (osimertinib) for the treatment of patients with locally advanced or metastatic non-small cell lung cancer - NSCLC - whose tumors have MET overexpression or amplification, and who had disease progression on or after an epidermal growth factor receptor tyrosine kinase inhibitor therapy. The NDA is supported by the global SAFFRON Phase III trial. SAFFRON showed ORPATHYS plus TAGRISSO(R) demonstrated a statistically significant and clinically meaningful improvement in both progression-free survival and overall survival ("OS") versus doublet platinum-based chemotherapy in patients who progressed on treatment with TAGRISSO(R). The safety profile was consistent with the known profiles of each medicine, and there were no new safety concerns. These results will be presented in a Presidential Symposium at the upcoming European Society for Medical Oncology Congress 2026."
Hutchmed Initiates Global Clinical Trial of HMPL-A830
Hutchmed announces that it has initiated the Phase Ia part of a global clinical trial of HMPL-A830 in patients with unresectable, advanced or metastatic solid tumors. The first patient received the first dose in China on September 24, 2026.

Hutchmed Enters Development Agreement with GSK for HMPL-A830
Hutchmed (HCM) announced that its subsidiary, Hutchmed Limited, has entered into an exclusive development and license agreement with a subsidiary of GSK (GSK), granting the GSK subsidiary worldwide rights excluding Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan to develop and commercialize HMPL-A830. Clinical development will initially focus on colorectal, pancreatic and lung cancer indications. The agreement includes a $110M upfront payment and potential development, regulatory and commercial milestone payments, for up to a total of $1.3B, and royalties on net sales. Under the terms of the agreement, Hutchmed Limited will be responsible for the global phase I development program, which is expected to start in the second half of 2026. The GSK subsidiary will be responsible for all subsequent clinical development and commercialization activities outside of Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan.
