Haemonetics Receives FDA Approval for PerQseal Elite Vascular Closure System
Haemonetics announced U.S. FDA approval of the PerQseal Elite vascular closure system for large-bore arterial procedures. The approval expands Haemonetics' portfolio of clinically-differentiated large-bore closure devices for structural heart and endovascular procedures in the U.S., following the company's acquisition of Vivasure Medical Limited in January 2026. The PerQseal Elite system provides sutureless, large-bore vascular closure following structural heart and endovascular procedures performed with 14-22F sheaths. Its fully bioabsorbable patch seals arteriotomies up to 26F from within the vessel, enabling near-instantaneous hemostasis and leaving nothing permanent behind. Physicians can confirm hemostasis while maintaining guidewire access, with the flexibility to reposition or recover the system until implant release. Results from the prospective, single-arm, multicenter ELITE arterial study demonstrated 0% major complications per VARC-3 and a mean time to hemostasis of less than one minute. In 2025, PerQseal Elite received CE Mark approval in Europe for both arterial and venous indications.

Stock Futures Lower as Oil Prices and Treasury Yields Rise
Stock futures are lower as a renewed jump in oil prices and Treasury yields revives inflation concerns. Brent crude jumped nearly 5% to above $105 a barrel, while WTI climbed toward $93 as concerns over renewed U.S.-Iran military action increased. The 10-year Treasury yield rose to around 5.34%, near its highest level since 2002, putting additional pressure on equities, particularly high-valuation technology stocks. The broader setup is increasingly a tug-of-war between strong expected earnings and deteriorating macro conditions. LSEG expects S&P 500 earnings to rise 30.6% in the third quarter, but the market is confronting a 10-year yield near 5.35%, oil above $100 and a Fed that still expects at least one more rate hike this year.In pre-market trading, S&P 500 futures fell 0.41%, Nasdaq futures fell 0.68% and Dow futures fell 0.68%.Check out this morning's top movers from around Wall Street, compiled by The Fly.HIGHER -Haemoneticsup 17% after disclosing its entry into a non-exclusive supply agreement with CSL PlasmaWolfspeedup 16% after receiving a conditional loan commitment letter from the U.S. Department of War for up to $1.5B of long-term financingPalantirup 2% after Goldman Sachs upgraded the stock to Buy with a $230 price targetUP AFTER EARNINGS -Helen of Troyup 13%PepsiCoup 1%Applied Digitalup 1%DOWN AFTER EARNINGS -AngioDynamicsdown 2%Levi Straussdown 2%Tilraydown 1%
Haemonetics Enters Supply Agreement with CSL Plasma
In a regulatory filing, Haemonetics disclosed its entry into a non-exclusive supply agreement with CSL Plasma, under which CSL may utilize the company's NexSys PCS devices with Persona PLUS technology and purchase related disposables in the United States. On October 8, CSL announced that it expects to complete the rollout of the Company's devices and disposables under the supply agreement by the end of calendar year 2027, and CSL has informed the company that it currently anticipates that the transition to the company's devices and disposables will occur at all of CSL's current U.S. plasma collection centers. The scope and timing of the rollout remain subject to change consistent with the terms of the supply agreement, and the implementation details for the rollout are still to be determined by CSL and the company. Accordingly, the company is not updating its previously issued FY27 guidance at this time. The company expects to provide an update regarding the anticipated impact of the supply agreement on its FY27 financial results in connection with its second fiscal quarter earnings call in November.
