Golar LNG Signs $2.45 Billion Agreement with Yantai CIMC Raffles
Golar LNG announced that it has executed an engineering, procurement and construction agreement with Yantai CIMC Raffles for its fourth FLNG and second MKII design Floating LNG Production vessel with an annual liquefaction capacity of 3.5M tons of LNG Per Annum. The fourth FLNG conversion project has a total budget of approximately $2.45B delivered to its prospective site. Golar's fourth FLNG is expected to be delivered from the shipyard by year end 2029 and will be the earliest available FLNG capacity globally.
Golar LNG Reveals Finalization of $1.2 Billion FLNG Gimi Bank Financing
Golar LNG closed and drawn a new $1.2B asset backed debt facility agreement with a consortium of banks including ABN AMRO, Citibank, DNB, Goldman Sachs and Standard Chartered Bank for the refinancing of FLNG Gimi. The new $1.2B bank facility replaces an existing bank facility with an outstanding amount of $627M as at Q3 2025. The new debt facility has a 7-year tenor, 16-year amortization profile and will incur interest at SOFR plus a margin of 2.50% p.a. Golar's 70% share of the net liquidity released from the bank refinancing amounts to approximately $400M after repayment of the existing Gimi debt facility and unwinding of the existing interest-rate swap.
Golar LNG reports Q2 revenue $75.67M, consensus $70.86M
Reports Q2 adjusted EBITDA $49.26M vs. $58.72M last year. The company said, "We see increasing industry recognition of the benefits of FLNG solutions versus land-based liquefaction terminals, driven by the proven track record of the fleet on the water, lower capex, shorter construction time and increased flexibility. This in turn drives prospective charter interest in our FLNG solutions. Golar is the only proven provider of FLNG as a service. Based on the increasing demand for FLNG to monetize stranded, associated and flared or re-injected gas reserves, we plan to order our next FLNG before locking in a charter to drive competitive tension and terms for our next FLNG project. This is the same approach successfully executed for the FLNG Hilli and for the MKII FLNG. Based on yard availability we are confident that a contemplated 4th Golar FLNG will be the only open and available FLNG capacity within this decade."

Kosmos confirms commercial operations date reached for Golar's FLNG Gimi
Kosmos Energy (KOS) noted the announcement by Golar LNG (GLNG) that the FLNG Gimi has reached Commercial Operations Date for the 20-year Lease and Operate Agreement with BP for the Greater Tortue Ahmeyim project offshore Mauritania and Senegal. The announcement of COD marks a significant milestone for the project partners, as LNG production volumes have been ramped up to a level equivalent to the annual contracted volumes of approximately 2.4 million tonnes per annum, or around 90% of nameplate capacity of 2.7mtpa. The achievement of COD follows first LNG in February and the first LNG cargo in April. The second and third LNG cargo were exported in May and early June respectively and a fourth cargo is currently loading. The fifth cargo is expected at the start of the third quarter. With this expected cargo timing, Kosmos forecasts 3.5 gross cargos in the second quarter.
